Internet Parental Control

Parents need to get involved in their child's online life. The Internet can seem abstract to a child, so it's hard to understand that public information is a serious problem. In addition, there is an age in which confessions are a way to create links with friends.Teach them to keep secret password and other personal information.  Work together to find a username that does not contain details that could lead to his identification and password that is not easy to guess (it's a good idea to include letters or numbers). Tell them that if something bad happens or if they see something disturbing, it's not their fault and should not feel in danger, but it is very important to tell you everything. 

There are few online rules that each child should follow.  Even the most obedient child will be upset when you say a long list of things which would be prohibited when using the Internet. To have his consent asked him why he believes these rules are important, discuss the reasons why they gives safe. Then write them together and put them near the computer. 

-Never provide personal information (name, age, location) 
-Never disclose passwords 
-Do not download games and programs, even if they are free, without parental permission 
-Don't answer messages from strangers 
-Do not click on anything that appears in another window, even if it looks like a game is free and gives you a trip to Disney 
-Do not talk with people who are not your friends in real life
