The Simple Life

As far as I'm concerned, this was her real entree into acting, which is a generous analysis since she plays herself. Albeit a lightly scripted version of herself. By the time the fifth season, "The Simple Life Goes to Camp," rolled around, the scripting was better, and clever hijinks covered for any lack of stage presence.

House of Wax

In this cookie cutter thriller, Paris Hilton plays victim #42,732. She and her co-stars are stranded in a creepy town full of wax people - that are actually made out of people. Paris's climactic moment on the screen occurs when SPOILER WARNING she's totally impaled. Right through the brain. She almost makes you feel sorry for her. Note to self - avoid impalement, especially cranial impalement or variations that involve any major organs.

Veronica Mars

Apparently, Paris had a cameo in an episode of Veronica Mars. As someone who's seen...mmm...every episode of VM, I'm drawing a blank. Paris was that memorable.

Paris for Prez:

She plays to her strengths, by which I mean weaknesses. She pokes fun at herself, makes use of her tagline, "That's hot," and has an all-around self aware good time. And she even delivers the smart line some starving journalist/tv writer wrote for her well.

Only potential problem: the minimum age to run for president is 35. Anyone in for a petition to amend that part of the constitution?
