Parrotheads and Squidoo.com; it's a match made in heaven. This lens will concentrate on introducing Parrotheads and their respective clubs to the prospects and potential of using Squidoo.com lenses as another way to coordinate their fund-raising efforts.

Parrotheads and their clubs are all about co-ordinating activities (ok, most of them are parties!) and their members so that they can raise money for their favorite charities. Squidoo.com is a great new way to take those fund raising efforts to a whole new level.

Squidoo.com lets you set up a web page (a lens like this one) about a subject that you are passionate and knowledgeable about. With the modules that you use to construct your lens, you can customize and personalize as much as you want. And the great thing is you can make money from your lens.

Squidoo.com is growing like crazy and so is the Parrothead community of lenses. I'll be adding lots of info and resources for letting you know how to construct a lens and use it to enhance and promote your Parrothead club and its events, members and fund raisers.

Why Does Our Club Need A Lens? 

Some very good reasons why

You may be wondering why you should construct a lens to help promote your club and activities. The main reasons are: it's easy, you can make money, it's free and making lenses is a lot of fun. Lensmaster N376 (Glen) has pretty much laid out the the reasons why, so I'll let you read them here.

Think of this lens as an example as much as an information resource. I've used several of the different modules available from squidoo in this lens. Modules are the different components you use when constructing your lens. Each section of this lens is a seperate module. You can get an idea of how they look and what they do.

One of the best parts about Squidoo is the Lensmasters, the people that make up this delighful internet community. They are very helpful and willing to share their knowledge and expertise. So you won't be going it alone, you'll have lots of help if you ask. Use the search function in the upper right hand corner to find a lens on just about any question you might have. Here's a very informative one on creating a successful Squidoo lens.

The "Text/Write module" is what I used to create this section and it is very versatile. You can use html to create links, upload a picture and lots more.
