Parties for Word Nerds
Everyone likes parties. How about a word party?
Are you a word nerd? Do you love words? Do you love to think about them? Use them different ways? Spell them? Make up things to do with them? After all, words can be key, so to speak.
I do. I love words AND parties. Scrabble Party, anyone? The over 30 crowd can have a roomful of fun.
The word "party" seems simple enough. Then again, how do we use it? A gazillion ways, but only five I can think of quickly? Does exploring a word tingle your imagination? Let's go on a Word Party about the word "party!" A real surprise party! A word nerd party.
Party, party, bo barty, banana fanna fo, whoa... wedding party, tea party, exploration party, you get the idea. Sentences and paragraphs and libraries of "party."
Don't forget to play the word games as we go. Try not to use words already on this page in your answers! And there are answers on the page, too. You know, like the back of the drug store puzzle books. Have fun scribbling on my lens!

Be sure to have lots of boards at your Word Nerd Party! You can indicate "BYOB," "Bring Your Own BOARD" on the party invitations that look like Scrabble letters.
What ever you decide to serve, coffee and dessert in the evening lend themselves to Scrabble designer food, alphabet cookies, cupcakes, cake decoration, jello, or cut out cookies served arranged in words. Let your imagination loose.
Speaking of a little party decorating, start cutting those letters from left over brown paper bags for the Scrabble center piece.

Just "party," no modifiers
Party can be a noun, adjective and what? In the vernacular it is used as an irregular verb, as in I party, you party, he, she, or it parties.
