How about a little Drinky Winky?

Before we get to the Party Food I just have to offer you a cocktail and what Christmas Party would be complete without Eggnog? The beauty of this drink is that you can serve it up with or without alcohol. Although there are some great store brands available you can't beat the fun or the flavor of making your own. Having a big batch of homemade Eggnog without alcohol in a punch bowl makes for a great table center piece. It's fun for all ages and even if you're throwing an adult only party your designated drivers can dip-in without feeling centered-out. Have your bar supplies nearby with plenty of rum on hand for those who want to imbibe. It's also a good idea to have an extra shaker of Nutmeg for those who want an extra sprinkle.

Sin Alcohol

The quantity of alcohol we are offered over the Christmas season can be quite overwhelming so it can be a good idea to down play the boozing a bit. Have your bar supplied with a nice balance of alcoholic and non alcoholic. Many drinks which traditionally contain alcohol can be made 'virgin' and you can always make them with a Christmas twist.

How about a Peppermint Martini with a mini Candy Cane instead of the usual olive garnish.

2 parts white creme de menthe
sprig of fresh mint
