Planning Your Event in Indiana...Can Sponsors Help You Pay for Your Event?
Ok...you're planning this great party. It might be a company picnic, school or church event or maybe a festival. It's going fairly well, but you're running out of funds.Have you thought of getting sponsors? One of the best company picnics we've ever been part of was one where the vendors actually sponsored different items for the employees. They had one of the nicest parties I've ever seen and it was a great networking day for everyone. The employees got a better idea of where their supplies came from....not to mention the great equipment that the vendors sponsored for the fun that day.
How about your post prom? You've done loads of fundraising....but it's still not quite enough. Why don't you ask local businesses if they'd like to sponsor an inflatable, or wax hands machine, etc. It's a cheap form of advertisement for the business...and a great way to stretch your event dollars.
Basically a sponsorship can work for any type of event you have planned. How many times have you run out of $$ before all your plans were made? A few simple phone calls or letters can solve all your budget problems.
There are two easy ways to ask for sponsorships. Write a letter, or just give them a call. A letter is a bit more professional looking unless you have a fairly good relationship with your contact.
But, either way will work, and you'll be amazed at how happy your prospects will be to have their company name as part of your event.
If you're unsure of how to go about this, just give our office a call and they can help you think up some ideas.
Of course, if you're a not- for- profit organization and need fundraising ideas, we'll be happy to help with that too!
Just think....you'd love to offer a Bear Stuffing Machine at your party...why not find a sponsor? And include tee-shirts for your bears with your sponsors logo printed right on the front of them.
The Squidoo and Blog pages are updated 2-3 times per week.
If you need decorations or more party ideas, please visit our store: PartyZone Party Supplies.
Photo Booth's are booking up! Our digital easel photo booth is in high demand for weddings. If you're interested in offering a photo memory book at your wedding...give us a call fast! Order your photo booth for your wedding in 2007, this month....and get a 10% discount off the price!

How to Save Stress by Using a Party Rental Company in Indiana
Call PartyZone for all your entertainment needs.
When you're planning an event the details can often be overwhelming. Do you need a DJ? Magician for the kids? How about moonbounces, inflatable games or other entertainment? These questions and others can be answered easily by calling a Party Rental Company. Now, there is a difference between a party rental company and a party planner. Most of the time a party planner is a specialized agent that will help you plan all the details of your event. And many times party planners have their own contacts in the party rental world.
But, although a party planner can really ease the stress of planning a larger event, (and we highly recommend you use one) they aren't always necessary for smaller parties. Many people that plan their own events have a fairly good idea of what they want, they just aren't sure where to get it.
Calling a Party Rental Company can not only save some work, it also enables you to learn about new and unique rental items on the marketplace. Items like wax hands, bear stuffing machines and of course all the great inflatable games.
Perhaps you're planning a block party. You've planned the food and drinks for the cookout, but you need something fun for the kids. One simple phone call can take care of all the unique items.
Your simple party can easily become a blockbuster event. Just add a moonbounce or water slide, some cotton candy and a margarita machine and you've got a spectacular night planned that everyone will love.
So, remember, the next time you plan your event, don't do it alone. Make that one call and get some great suggestions to add more fun to your special day.
Make your next party Spectacular....with a water slide rental from PartyZone
Water Slides are a blast for ALL ages.
If you're looking for something for your next party and you really want something different, why not try an inflatable waterslide?Water slides are a blast for all ages and they come in all shapes and sizes. The two most popular are the inflatable slip n slide and the inflatable backyard water slide.
Both are fun and it's really a matter of choice which one you use. Waterslides are just as easy to operate and, of course, once we set them up for you all you do is have fun. All you need is a power supply and a water connection.

Ministries for Youth in Indiana
Ideas for Youth Ministries in Indiana and Through Out the Country
Inflatable games and other interactive items offer that cutting edge interactive entertainment experience. Games like the Big Glove boxing, Sumo Wrestling suits, Gladiator Jousting, Bungee Runs, Giant Slides, Mechanical Rides are something that the average youth doesn't have access to unless it's at a fair or festival.
Using this type of safe yet challenging equipment is something that can attract youth from all around your area.
Are you planning a lock in? How about a Halloween Alternative Event? Or perhaps a New Year's Eve Party? The object of all these type of events is not only to offer safe, Christian alternatives to outside events, but also to show that being part of a Christian Youth Group is anything but boring.
There are two ways to offer inflatables and interactives to your youth. Most organizations start out by renting their equipment.
As you're looking for a company to help you with your youth ministry, you'll want to ask some specific questions!
Does the Company Specialize in these types of activities?
Do they have clean cut representatives that will help at your event if necessary
Can they be flexible to your needs? (Pick up and Delivery at your needed times)
Do they offer a discount to Christian Youth organizations?
Are they fully insured?
Will they work with your budget?
These questions and others can help you find the right company for your organization. You'll also want to find out what kind of equipment they have to offer. You'll be looking for bright colorful equipment and a fairly large assortment of games. Since the average youth tends to want to try different things, it's important to be able to offer different items for each event.
If you try inflatables and other interactive games to boost your youth ministry, you'll be thrilled with your results, and so will your youth!

It really can be sooooo easy!
Are you excited? You have just been given the challenge of planning the perfect event! And more than likely, you have no idea where to start. Whether you are planning a backyard birthday party, holiday party, church event, company picnic or a post prom, event planning does not have to be stressful. It can even be fun!
Step 1 Plan your Budget
The first thing you have to know is how much money you have to spend. Then you can plan your budget for different parts of your event. Once you decide on your total budgeted amount, work within it. It is no fun to be running way over budget weeks before your party. You will need to divide your budget between the following categories.
Invitations- If you are sending out regular invitations do not forget the postage cost.
Venue- There are many different types of venues. Ask about any additional fees besides the actual rental fee. (Cleaning fees, etc.) A venue that includes tables & chairs could ultimately be cheaper than an empty hall where you have to rent everything from an outside source. If you are having the party at home, remember to include the cost of any equipment you will need there also like tents, tables and chairs.
Food- After planning your menu, make a complete list of recipes and needed items to add to your budget. If you are using a caterer, talk to two or three different ones. Tell them what your vision is, and see what they suggest. Also, give them your budget for food up front so they will not waste your time suggesting things that you do not want.
Drink- Do not forget to add in the cost of ice, cups and other extras.
Extras- Anything extra you might need to purchase for your event.
Décor- Any decorations needed; lights, flowers, candles and props
Entertainment & Activities- Games & Activities, either rented or coordinated by others.
Music & Entertainers- DJ, Band, face painters, caricaturist, magician
Favors- think cheap; try to keep it under $1.00
Emergency Fund- IMPORTANT- Before you even start, set 10% of your total budget aside for emergencies.
5 Steps to Planning the Perfect Event Part 2
Step 2 Pick a DateIn many cases the date will be picked for you. If not, think of your work and personal schedule as you plan. Also, consider holidays where people might be out of town.
Step 3 Choose a Theme
Themed parties are always fun and if you use a theme it makes it much easier to tie in food/decorations etc. There are so many themes you can use that they are only limited by your imagination. Here are some samples: Mexican Fiesta, Mardi Gras, Key West, Tropical, Western and Casino Night
Step 4 Pick a Venue
There are so many places you can hold your event. Home, a church hall or a specialty location This can take up a huge part of your budget so shop carefully. If you are using a venue that is furnishing napkins/table settings and other items, ask to see them to make sure they meet your standards.
Step 5 Make out your Guest list
Ok, now that you have done all the basics it will be SO easy to plan that perfect party.

Plan the Perfect Company Picnic
It's easier than you think!
But, how do you go about planning that perfect company picnic? Here are a few tips for making the event great, even on a small budget.
Location: There are many event locations that specialize in company events. Many of them offer catering to make your planning easier. But you don not have to go off site. If you have a company that runs 24/7 sometimes it is better to have your event on site so that all employees can attend with their families. This is also a great opportunity to offer tours if your company has a factory, or area that the average person cannot visit. Many parents really enjoy showing their family where they work and what they do.
Food: Food can be as simple as hotdogs and hamburgers grilled by the management staff to a fully catered event. There are many catering companies that specialize in company picnics and you can plan everything from ribs to dessert. But when the management cares enough to be part of the food preparation it seems to mean a lot to the employees. If you choose this though, make sure that you have plenty of help so that everyone still gets a chance to enjoy the party.
Entertainment: The entertainment is the easiest part of your planning. And again, it can be simple or extravagant depending on your budget.
You can offer Bingo for adults and relay races for children (both with prizes). Corn Hole and Volleyball tournaments are always huge fun. If you are offering tournaments, make sure to have a sign up table so that there is no delay starting the games.
Inflatable and Interactive games can be a huge attraction for kids AND adults and they certainly add a festive flair to the event. There is something about pulling into a parking lot and seeing giant moonbounces and slides to get everyone excited.
Many companies offer casino games for the adults while the children are playing on the inflatable games. Casino games are played for fun with the winners receiving prizes.
Keep in mind as you are planning entertainment that many things require a power source so you want to plan your event with power requirements in mind.
Budget: Decide what your budget is going to be in the beginning. This will give you an idea of where to start. But, do not despair if your budg

Save Stress by Utilizing a Party Rental Company in Indiana
These questions and others can be answered easily by calling a Party Rental Company. Now, there is a difference between a party rental company and a party planner. An Inflatable Slide is Huge Hit at Indiana Parties
You'll find the inflatable slide right in the middle of the fun at most Indiana corporate picnics, post proms and other functions. But did you know you can get a slide for a home party too?
Although inflatable slides have been around for awhile, in the past few years more unique slides have come into the marketplace. You can get slides in sizes that work for everyone. A giant slide (around 22') is great for ages 12 to adults. If you're looking for something for younger kids, you'll probably want to stick with a backyard slide which is around 14' tall.
Remember the 70's when slip n slides were so popular? Well, now you can get inflatable slip n slides that are even MORE fun. They come in single and in double lanes both so you can even race a friend if you'd like. But the new slip n slides have a safety ramp at the end to slow your slide so they're much easier on your body than the old version.
If you like the traditional slide, but still want water, you can rent an inflatable water slide. With sprinklers shooting out the top, this slide is fantastic for a hot summer day.
There are just a few things you need to remember when renting an inflatable slide or any other inflatable game:
1) The unit must be staked down at all times
2) The unit can only be operated with adult attendant in place who understands all safety requirements
3) You will need a dedicated 20 amp circuit to use for each blower (most units only need one). This outlet needs to be within 50 feet.
4) If you're using a water slide, you'll need a water connection and hose within a reasonable distance.
5) Participants should always follow safety instructions and should always be sitting feet first when sliding down a traditional slide.
If you follow the simple guidelines you can have a safe, fun attraction that everyone will love.
Indiana Picnic Ideas
1) Relay Races & games for the kids AND adults: Remember the old fashioned games? 3 legged race, wheelbarrow race, balloon squash, egg toss. But don't just do this for the kids. These type of games are great interactive games for the kids and the adults.
2) Cornhole Games: Cornhole games are a staple at most Indiana picnics. This craze grows more popular each year and the game is so addictive that once you start playing you won't want to stop.
3) Homemade Ice Cream: Remember how much fun it used to be to anticipate how great that ice cream would taste when it was finished?
4) Cotton Candy/Snow Cones: These are an added treat that make a picnic more like a festival. The machines can easily be rented at most party rental companies.
5) Volley Ball or Badmitton: Both games can be set up easily and offer a good chance to network with old friends.
6) Set up a Sprinkler: What could be more fun on a hot summer day.
7) Moonbounces are a blast: And can be rented easily for a day of fun and excitement.
8) Don't forget some simple games for people that don't want such a hectic play time. Cards are a great way to have fun with your friends and relax at the same time.
Just keep in mind that picnics are about relaxing with friends. All you need to do is throw in some food and drinks, good friends and a few entertainment ideas and your day will be complete.

Why Not Have a Foam Dance Party at Your Next Indiana Event
It's just Good Clean Fun!
The term "foam dance party" is really confusing to a lot of people. What is it? Why would someone want to do play in foam? Where can you find one?A foam dance party can be simple with foam pouring out of a machine into your back yard. You can also contain the foam in an inflatable pit or you can get really elaborate and add black lights disco balls and loud music. And if you wonder why everyone likes them? Just remember how fun it was to play in a bubble bath when you were a child. And then multiply that feeling again and again. Not only is it fun to be in the foam, butwatching the bubbles float up through the sky is an entertaining experience.
In the past you could find foam dance parties at colleges but they are becoming more and more popular each year for the average backyard party. Of course there are always a lot of questions when the subject of the foam party comes up. I'll try to answer some of them here:
* The foam is a specialty foam although you can actually use baby shampoo if you don't have foam available.
* Foam Machines and Pits can be found at Specialty Party Rental Companies
* If you're more of a DIY type person you can find instructions for building your own foam machine on the internet. They are fairly simple to make.
* Nope, you're not supposed to be naked. Clothing is good!
* Foam parties can work for all ages. You can adjust the amount of foam that's filling the area to meet the needs of your guests.
Generally you'll want to have your event outside and for safety's sake you'll need an area that isn't slippery when it's wet. Some inflatable foam pits have vinyl bottoms but most are just inflatable retaining walls.
If you rent equipment the cost for the parties generally runs from $300-$2000.00 depending on the amount of foam needed and the length of time for your event. This year you'll probably see foam parties at Company Picnics, Birthday Parties, College Events, Fundraising parties and festivals.
And Yes, if you're looking for some Good Clean Fun, a foam party is just what you need!
Are you looking for something to spice up your next event? Do you want to learn more about foam dance parties? Call Cheryl Pierce and PartyZone Rentals at 317-838-9408. Or visit the website:

Can You Really Surf in Indiana????
When you live in the land of corn fields, you tend to miss out a bit on some of the exciting things that happen in other parts of the country. We sit at home in the winter watching the surfing contests in California and Hawaii and wonder if we'll ever even step onto a surf board.Well, due to some new entertainment items available you now have the chance. A mechanical surfboard simulates the feeling of surfing the waves, BUT you don't have to worry about drowning if you fall off. Ok, it's a bit more tame than the real thing but it's still fun. And since the odds are that we'll never have any big waves coming our way, it's the best some of us are every going to get.
Surf Simulators are actually fun for all ages. The operator can rotate the board in a gentle way so even a 4 year old can give it a shot. Or, they can really simulate higher waves for those brave participants who want a lot of excitement.
And speaking of 4 year olds, if you take a picture of your younger child riding a surfboard, it'll bring a smile to your face forever.
Mechanical Bulls have always been extremely popular but in many areas they are prohibited due to insurance and liability issues. The liability/insurance issue does not apply to the surf machine, making it great for use at virtually any type of function.
So, if you're wanting to try something different, pick a balmy day, put on Surfin' Safari and get the simulator started.
"Let's go surfin' now, Everybody's learning how, Come on and Safari with me!"

Remember when you were small and your parents got out the sprinkler on a hot summer day? Not only was it cool and refreshing%u2026but you and your friends had a blast.Well%u2026.we've come a long way since the days of the backyard sprinkler. One of our most popular items right now are inflatable water slides. Water slides come in all shapes and sizes. There are slides with pools, without pools, inflatable slip and slides, slides with sprinklers and slides in every theme imaginable.
And are they just for kids? Nope%u2026.they're for ALL ages. And they're loved by all ages.
When we first bought our inflatable slip and slide we sent it up to a friend's house for a trial run. Their kids are a little younger than ours and we like to get their thoughts our newer pieces of equipment. We found out after their party that although the kids had a great time, it was the PARENTS who really enjoyed the equipment.
Evidently a slip n slide is a huge amount of fun for parents who are stressed out after a long busy day.
Where can these units be used? Anywhere you have a power supply and water supply. Most units have a continual mist of water running over them at all times so they need to be within 50' of a water connection and of course, since they're inflated by a blower, you also need a power supply within 50'.
And water slides are not just for back yard parties. More and more they're being used for company picnics, summer camps and special events.''So, if you're looking to add a "splash" to a hot summer party....think Water Slide!
