Passing Your Driving Test is Important
This Lens is about how you can pass your driving test for the first time. OK, sometimes when people see that I want people to pass their driving test on the first try, they think I am offering a "cheat" or an easy way to take the test. As an old cop, I have seen plenty of teenagers killed while driving, and often it was because of mistakes they avoided. Teenage drivers are the most likely to be killed of all drivers. A lot of people may not know that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year-olds. Nearly 3000 teenage drivers die in automobile accidents every year. - I am out to change that as much as I can.
I hope to give you a road-map of how to pass your driving test the first time.

Study Interactively
Besides reading your driver's handbook, you need to practice taking the written test. I happen to know a great place to take practice written tests. Go there yourself to see.
Studying and practice test taking may not be enough for you. Maybe you need more. Don't just study by reading, test taking, and looking. Do more than study the old fashioned way. To really prepare yourself - take an interactive course so you know how to pass. Not just know how to pass, but know what you need to know to be a great driver.

Practical Practice
Remember to practice, practice, and practice!
Right Before Your Test
D-day is today. You cannot believe how much your palms sweat and you have butterflies in your stomach. You feel like you are so stressed. Think about this. Why stress? Just because you get to drive with a complete stranger, watching every move and marking everything on a she while s/he is judging you to see if you are going to get a drivers license. OMG! OMG!Hey, don't worry. You can do this - no sweat!
The road test is the final hurdle you need to clear before you get your driver's license. The examiner will ride with you. While you are driving your vehicle s/he will assess the moves you make and decide if you have the skills. You know that you learned and practiced all you could. It can be nerve-racking, sure. If, and I mean a big IF, you've studied carefully and practiced sufficiently you should be more than well enough prepared. But please, do not bring your driver's handbook with you for a quick, easy reference during the test. I know you really want to.
If you are prepared like I said and did your practice, remember to relax, yet be aware of what is around you. You will do fine!
Beginning the Test
Your examiner will first check out your car and credentials before you hit the road, making sure that your signals and brake lights are working properly. It is a good idea to check these before you leave home. This would be a really bad time to find out that your left blinker is not working so you have to reschedule. As soon as the test starts, remember to use your signals at all appropriate times. In some states they ask you to use hand signals to check and see whether you know how to use them if your turn signals don't work. Oh yeah, and remember to breathe!
Things Likely to Happen During the Test
"Turn left right here..."
You will be asked to do things like changing lanes and merging with other traffic. These are the common maneuvers you will use in everyday driving. Make sure the examiner sees you using your rear-view mirrors and looking over your shoulder when doing these. You need to be aware of the traffic around you. I know you are really concentrating on what the tester will ask you to do, but you need to show that you're cautious and aware of the traffic around you. For goodness sakes do not speed! Be sure to listen carefully to his/her instructions. This is not a good time to answer your cell phone if it rings or you get a text; in fact you should turn it off or not take it on the test with you.Make sure that you notice all traffic signs and obey them. Be sure to come to complete stops at stop signs and know the routine for four-way stops. I know it seems like no one really knows what to do at 4 way stops, but there are rules. First come , first serve - otherwise the one on the right goes first. Even if you have the proper responses down pat and when it's your turn to go first at a stop sign, the other people may not know what to do.
Parallel parking is traditionally the highest failure of the test. All it takes is some good coaching and decent amount of practice. You can work on it by setting up cardboard boxes in a deserted parking lot and practicing until you can do these with your eyes closed. Whatever you do - do NOT do it with your eyes closed!
They may make you back up, do a three-point turn, and park correctly on a hill (where they have hills).
Ahhh! The End of the Test!
Before you know it your test will be over and you will have earned your driver's license. Congratulations! Celebrate your achievement, but remember that it's harder to get your license back if you lose it for some reason than it is to get one in the first place. Keep your nose clean and your driving record clear of accidents and speeding tickets and you will never have to go through this again...we hope!.This is a great place to go to get more on how to pass the test the first time.
Passed 1st Time or Not?
Did You Pass Your First Driving Test?

I DID Pass my 1st Driver's Test
Justin Bieber says:
Yes of course I did when I told to my instructor then I will sing I got my license.
I Did NOT Pass my 1st Driver's Test
Sophia says:
They changed the rules in my state. During parallel parking, one tire was 1 inch too far from the curb (he literally measured...) so I failed the entire test just for that. Next time I'm going to make both tires bump (but not jump!) the stupid curb to satisfy them...
Dylan says:
No
Josh says:
Nope I did not:(
Grant Elliott says:
-sigh- I did not pass due to not looking over my shoulder enough times, signaling too late...but the thing that really messed with me was 90 degree backing and parallel parking....in which the spaces were not regulation size...FML...taking a tape measure next time.
Jad5e says:
Was so nervous but the instructer was extremly nice...i had to do a back up park and lightly touched a cone on my drivers side....well better luck next time i hope!!
This is What NOT to DO!
You will not try to pass the test by doing this.

No make-up while on the phone.

This guy likely did NOT Pass.

I have no idea how this happened

- I passed my drivers test the first time, and I actually had it pretty easy. The test lasted much less time than most, and I think what mattered a lot was the cleanliness of the car, that it was in working condition, and that a parent was there (not a friend). They police officer seemed to be set at ease by it. The next driver thought didn't fare so lucky, he was yelled at for having a messy car that had a broken blinker.
