All you need to know about passports!
We recently went on a trip to Israel. We had to get a passport and had never gotten one before so we were clueless on what to do. We wanted to make this process easier for you! We did the research on all the different things you need to know about getting a passport, where to get a passport, what exactly you need, etc. and we put it all in one lens.
6 steps to obtain a passport...
Here's how to get a passport!
1. Application for Passport, Form DS-11
2. Present Proof of U.S. Citizenship
-Previous U.S. Passport (mutilated, altered, or damaged passports are not acceptable as evidence of U.S. citizenship.)
-Certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state
-Naturalization Certificate
-Certificate of Citizenship
3. Present Proof of Identity
-Previous U.S. passport (mutilated, altered, or damaged passports are not acceptable as proof of identity.)
-Naturalization Certificate
-Current, valid
Driver's license
Government ID: city, state or federal
Military ID: military and dependents
4. Provide Two Passport Photos
-2x2 inches in size
-Identical
-Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance
-Color
-Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background
-Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
-Taken in normal street attire
5. Pay Application Fee
6. Be sure to have your social security number handy.

Here are a few locations for obtaining a passport...
- 1. Your local library
2. Post office
3. Clerks of Court or Local City Hall
4. State, County, Township or other Municipal Govt. Offices
5. Online (I would not recommend for first time applicants)
