My Name is Ryan Tate and pretty much all my life has been a struggle. I was raised in the ghetto of South Central Los Angeles. Sometimes it felt like it would be a strugle to stay alive. My family lived on welfare and government assistance forever. My greatgrandmother raised both my twin brother and I and she really did the best she could.

On occasion there were a few times when we went to bed without food.

In the 11th grade we became homeless for about 6 months. We had to move in with a family at our church for 6 months. This was very tough. Living in someone elses house under someone elses rules was such a humbling experience. If there was any pride that I did have left I could not tell you where it was hiding.

Eventually we found a place. Our family got back on its feet... we were able to move in apartment next to our grandfathers apartment. I thought this was great being so close to my family. I would soon learn that God works in mysterious ways.

Tradgedy Strikes our family again. My grandfather who lived next door, his cancer that had been in remission for 5 years came back, and came back with the vengance. I get emotional everytime I think about this. So I'm going to try to breeze through this but I need to pay homage to my grandfather right now.

Seeing my grandfather go from a fun, loving, energetic, always moving around to losing his hair, to being first confined to a wheel chair, then being put on bed rest really hurt me so badly.

I began questioning God. I knew God had the power to heal Him, and that if He didnt heal Him that it wasnt in his plan.

Basically in Novemeber of 2006 the Doctors gave my grandfather a couple of weeks to live. He was suppose to away before christmas of that year according to doctors. But my grandfather had other plans. Christmas came and he was still alive. In February my grandfather had to have an emergency surgery. All of our family flew in from all over the US because the doctors was like ok family its time now. Warren is really about to die within the next week or so. Guess what.. He didnt. My grandfather made a promise to himself that he would see my brother and I graduate from high school. And he did. I dont want to go into too many details but a week after my graduation my grandfather was gone. He had kept his promise to us to see us Graduate from high School and he did. I love him for that. I know that there were days that he probably wanted to say God take me now. But what I learned from that experience is that it is impossible to stop a man or woman who will not quit.

I had just got out of high school graduated with honors and on my way to college. I joined an MLM in the hopes of becoming rich over night. I wanted to be the provider for my family that my grandfather once was...but that didnt happen quite yet. I pushed on. I was making about 2k a month but I hated prospecting and cold calls. I hated the feeling of rejection. I took every no personal. I didnt want that feeling anymore...

I came to college I tried to recruit my friends and I failed miserably. My check stopped coming in, my other distributors who I had left back in Los Angeles quit, and now I was rock bottom broke. I couldnt even buy basic necessities. Yes i know its embarassing. If it were not for God, My Girlfriend Danielle, and that little tiny financial aid check, I would have died from starvation. No jkoe folks. I knew I was better than that. I prayed. I asked God for something better and one day I turned on my computer and Passport To Wealth was there.
