In early 2005 I began having "dreams" that were complete, story driven and made sense. Not the usual type of disjointed dreams humans normally have. These dreams told the story of a young girl who lived in a castle in Scotland many years ago.

The first dream repeated several times. The young girl is in her nightgown huddled next to a large wardrobe in her bedroom. It is in the early morning hours when the castle is usually still sleeping. The fire in the young girl's room is almost out and she notices that her servant girl is missing from the room.

The girl listens as an attack against her castle is being carried about by the British. She could hear shots, banging and her family and servants screaming. The girl was praying that someone would save her when her bedroom door was thrown open and a man on horse rode into the room.

This castle had at least two floors. The hall below and two staircases on either side of the hall leading to the bedrooms upstairs. The man, wearing chain mail had rode his horse up the stairs and into the room of the girl. The man gestured towards the girl with his hand and yelled at her to come. He pulled her onto the back of his horse and began forcing the horse down the stairs and out through the double outside doors that were open. They made a desperate dash for freedom through the woods and up some hills or mountains. During their get-away the girl was shot through her left side and the musket ball went through her into the knight. She suffered scratches and there was much blood.

When I woke up from these dreams I was scratched, bruised and bloodied.

I continued to have this dream and several others that told me much about the future of the girl. I was exhausted and terrified by these dreams. I sought out a past life regression specialist and after several weeks found someone locally. I made my first appointment and had my regression and I went straight into the life of this young girl.

The first thing I said was "My name is Isobel" and this is the story of what to her.

This book covers reincarnation from regression techniques, to case studies to research results. Much of the book includes channeled information from study subjects who communicate information from the other side. This information validates what I have always felt... that heaven is a set of dimensions that are perfect and that the pervading feeling is a powerful type of love.

Dr. Slate also spends a great deal of time talking about his research into the preexistence of a soul prior to beginning physical incarnations. He explains that we are forever without beginning and without end. His research gives us in depth information about our personalities, our role in the other side and our physical incarnations.

Much of this research is compelling although Dr. Slate does get long winded at times. He through in some interesting ghost stories that he researched as well which led to communication with the ghosts and an explanation of what really happened to them. This was my favorite part of the book!
