Novels by Pat Conroy are enjoyed by many!
Author Pat Conroy is probably one of my most favorite authors. I enjoy reading his novels and also enjoy watching the movies that have been made from them. He has such a gift for writing and it is a joy to read his books. I always seem to get totally absorbed in them and don't want the book to end.
Pat Conroy and over 40 other authors will be at the Savannah Book Festival in February 2012. On Friday, February 17, Pat Conroy will give the Keynote Address and then on Saturday he will join his good friend, John Warley, for a joint presentation where they will talk about their friendship, their writing experiences and their books. They both will be signing autographs following this segment.

Pat Conroy and John Warley were classmates together at the Citadel and have been friends ever since. They will come together again at the Savannah Book Festival on February 18, 2012.

South of Broad by Pat Conroy
I thoroughly enjoyed South Of Broad by Pat Conroy and was not disappointed in the least. I had eagerly awaited another novel by this wonderful South Carolina Author and the only disappointment I experienced was when the book ended. I had made friends with the characters and did not want to say Good Bye to them. It was especially enjoyable because I read it while vacationing at Edisto Island. His descriptions of Charleston and other places made the words jump off the page and a vision appear in my head. I could see the sights, smell the smells, and hear the sounds. Now, I can't wait until Pat Conroy writes his next novel.

- Pat is a master of expression and a brilliant author. Another Citadel classmate of Pat's and mine, John Warley, has recently published his first book, "Bethesda's Child". Pat wrote the preface for it and is very high on John's writing as I am. Hope to get it for Father's day. Glad you are a Conroy fan.

- Pat is a wonderful storyteller. My husband and Pat were in the same class at the Citadel. So we have a special connection with his writing. I look forward to reading his latest work.
