Patrick Swayze, Last Lecture Professor Randy Pausch, Steve Jobs and Ruth Ginsberg are just some of the people whose lives are impacted by pancreatic cancer. I'd wince at the horrible tabloid photos of Patrick Swayze. Though shocking I couldn't turn away from the gentleman who brought such grace and his own kindness to movies like Dirty Dancing, Ghost, the North and the South.

Even at this sad time, I can't help but smile when I think of Patrick Swayze all tanned, swarthy and buffed, playing the straight man in a dance off with the late Chris Farley, auditioning as a Chippendales dancer for Saturday Night Live. My heart goes out to his wife Lisa Niemi as well as other families impacted by loved ones with pancreatic cancer.

I found this article very informative and I must recommend this one to all of my friends. Recently I have read about Pancreatic Cancer Survival Rate at http://www.whatispancreaticcancer.net/Pancreatic-Cancer-Survival-Rate.html in this site they told, all stages of pancreatic cancer, combined, and the 1 year relative pancreatic survival rate is only about 20 %, and the 5 year survival rate is 4%. Do you think is this true? Nice post. Keep going on.

Patrick put up a courageous fight for a cancer that can't be beaten. Lost my mother to pancreatic cancer in April 2008. She lasted 3 1/2 months from the diagnosis and it was horrible to witness. I send my deepest sympathy to Patrick's wife, Lisa.
