Pattaya, Thailand is located on The Gulf of Thailand, approximately 100 miles from Bangkok .
There is a lot to do In Pattaya, from relaxing on the beach, sightseeing , or shopping. But we're going to focus on partying and having fun with the girls!
How Do I Get To Pattaya?
Transportation From The Bangkok Airport and Around Pattaya
If you're traveling from Bangkok to Pattaya you have a few different choices of transport ranging from bus to limousine. We'll cover them one by one and you can choose which is best for you.
-Bus. This is the cheapest option at a Cost of @190 Baht.
Buses are at Ekemai Bus Terminal in Bangkok, you can take the skytrain to the Ekemai Station and the bus terminal is right there. Or you can take a taxi to Ekamai to catch the bus to Pattaya.
Buses to Pattaya are also available right from Suvanarbi Airport in Bangkok if you want to head straight to Pattaya from the airport.
I would rather stay in Bangkok for at least a couple of days and after a 20 hour + flight I don't want to get onto a bus for another 2 hours.
When your bus arrives in Pattaya, you need to hire a songtheaw, or baht bus which is just a small pickup truck with benches in the back. The cost is 40 baht from the bus station. The songtheaw will travel down Beach Road, just ring the buzzer when you want to get off.
Mini Bus.
Another option is to take a mini bus to Pattaya. These are just passenger vans that transport 6-10 passengers. A little more comfortable than the bus and faster, cost of 300-500 baht. Most hotels will sell these packages, I know Nana Hotel does.
Taxi
If you just want to get there in a hurry and aren't too concerned about cost you can take a taxi. Cost will be anywhere from 1000-2000 baht depending on your negotiating. You should be able to be dropped off right at your hotel.
Once your in Pattaya the best way to get around is the songtheaw or baht bus. The songtheaws run a circuit from Soi 1 along Beach Road to South Pattaya Road and then along Second Road back to Soi 1. The cost for a ride anywhere on this circuit is 10 baht per passenger. Thais only pay 5 baht but when a Thai passenger is with a foreigner they will be charged 10 baht.

New Pattaya Beer Garden
A new bar opened in Pattaya called Pattaya Beer Garden.
The bar opened April 25, 2008 and is located on Beach Road at the entrance to Walking Street, behind the Siren Beer Bar Complex.
This should be a good addition for Pattaya as they do not have any bar girls so there will not be any bar fines to pay. This is fashioned after the Biergarten in Bangkok which offers a comfortable place to hang out and have a drink or something to eat and not have bar girls bugging you for 'ladies drinks'.

These Are Places That Don't mind If You bring back a girl from the bar.

I keep returning to this place because their service is so good. A nice clean hotel at a reasonable price, restaurant on site with room service and a pool on the roof.
The only thing I'd like them to add would be an in-room safe, but they have safe deposit boxes at reception. - Flipper Lodge, Soi 8

No joiner fee unless you bring back more than one girl, then joiner rate applies at 500 baht per extra person. ;) - Apex Hotel, Second Road
Apex Hotel
On Second Road near Mike Shopping Mall,Apex is a good basic hotel but does have air conditioning, refrigerator, cable TV, telephone,safety box, mini bar, safe and bathrooms with hot and cold water.
There is also a pool at Apex which makes it a good deal at only 500 baht which is advertised on their website.
