This is all about me!
All I have done and plan to do in the future.
Married twice, three grown up boys, two grand-daughters and another on the way.
Had a 5-year romance with a girl 30 years younger than me, and finally moved out, way down south to El Calafate, near the Perito Moreno Glacier, and made it my home.
For the coming years, I am planning to build kayaks and boats in the winter months, when everything is snow, ice and freezing wind.
Where I come from
I have lived in various parts of the country for several years at a time and can say that there are few places I don't know in Argentina.
Studied in bilingual schools, and later on, taught English to Spanish speakers for longer than I can remember (well, about 40 years).
Worked here and there learned a lot, but it was always working for someone else.
Not long ago, at long last, I broke away from the job sector and went off, like a rolling stone, in search of a rewarding life, working for myself, even if it meant hunting and fishing for a meal. Well, I found that rewarding life in the kitchen.
My life in the kitchen:
But not only do I cook. . .
It all began when I learnt how to play the guitar at the age of 14. I was so serious about it, that I practised even before singing something at informal family gatherings.
Later on, when I was 17, I started composing pop and C&W songs and even had the "nerve" to compose choir music and a string quartet short piece.
Then came some duets, trios and one first quartet, having at all times somewhere to do part singing at. After some good attempts to climb on to a stage from the "right side of it", came the professional stage, during which I learnt a lot of harmony and counterpoint.
This, of course, triggered off the need to have a group of my own to apply the harmonies to.
I got one put together. . . it only lasted 8 months.
After some years of oblivion, I got invited to listen to a recently formed group, who needed some guidance. I not only gave them guidance, but got myself invited to stay on. The final outcome was 3 years and six months of intense rehearsals, singing at private parties and minor venues, demos and test videos.
Here is one of them.
Ah, la musique!!!
This is Vozavoces, the resulting group after I left

There came a time when I became restless and wanted to get more than Quintaires could give me. And I do not mean to diminish the great significance it had for me.
It's just that I had to move on, in order to apply all my crazy arrangements to a vocal quintet. What I had in mind was jazz, performing all the harmonies and counterpoint done by the brass instruments, on human voices.
For Quintaires it would have been too much, to get them to change all the repertoire into something they had not signed up for, mainly because of the fact that I was the last one to join.
Bossanova, the Brazilian New Age style
The final outcome
But I was probably too demanding in my expectations and wasn't able to rig up the group, after nearly a year of searching for the voices, mentalities and capabilities that I needed. . . and couldn't find. And I got stuck in a rut.Quintaires, on the other hand, suffered a transformation, replaced me, my guitar and my arrangements, for another guy, who did exactly the same. . . but with another repertoire.
The result was Vozavoces, performing bossanova and boleros, the romantic Mexican style music.
And here they are, My sister Alice as alto, her husband Jorge, tenor, Leticia, mezzo, Marcelo, Bass, and Juan Carlos, the baritone, guitarist and arranger.
Even though they are currently dismembered due to diverse reasons, They are, all five of them, very dear to my heart. For them, my participation meant their transformation, from choir members, to vocal group singers, each one alternating solos and backup chorus. For me, one more lesson.
But then came my inspiration
I remembered all I had learnt about cooking and used it to my advantage

Natural conserves, no chemicals, all flavour and joy!!! Lenton Deli was born
As a final touch, here goes a sample of Vozavoces
Music is of great importance to me Thank you Alice, Jorge, Leticia, Marcelo, Juan Carlos
