Now it's your turn! The next time you're in line at Starbucks, McDonalds, Subway, Moes or any of your favorite fast food, pay the bill for the guy, gal, mom or grandpa behind you.

My kids give by just throwing a few of their own coins into the hanging red kettle by the Salvation Army Bell ringer of hope and love.

Volunteer at your local elementary to be a reading mentor. Be a big brother or big sister.

Volunteer at the pregnancy resource center in your town.

The idea is to get viewers like you involved in helping teachers get the supplies they need through a Web site called DonorsChoose.org. In this installment we found one Hayward teacher who's not only growing a garden, but a village.
