Paying Back Kindness Is The Squidoo Way

Jessica Barnhart challenged Squidoo to Pay It Forward.  She wanted us to honor three lensmasters we admire or have helped us in some way by showing kindness.  Kindness seems to be a key word at Squidoo.  I have never been involved with such caring and sharing people.  I personally feel I could include every lensmaster in this challenge, but I am limited to three here. 

My choices are a_willow (Michelle), rms (Robin), and jewelsofawe (Patricia).  These three women are selfless in their encouragement, support, creativity, and critiques.  It always makes me smile when I receive a comment from them on my lenses or words of encouragement in one of the forums for new lenses.  Featuring them here is just a small sample of my gratitude and appreciation for all they have done for me in my growth on Squidoo.


Thank you, Ladies, from the bottom of my heart.  You are all ANGELS to me!

Kindness Personified

a_willowMichelle is a mentor for the Giant Squid Challenge and a talented writer. She heads the group Squid Tools for the Giant Squid Challenge and offers solid advice for improving the bio area of a lens, using SquidU, best use of the dashboard, and too many subjects to mention. She is always available to offer her "diamonds" of wisdom (they're better than pearls) and I have used everyone she has suggested to me to improve my lenses.

Thank you just doesn't seem enough to say to show my appreciation for all she does. When you look up 'kindness' in the dictionary, Michelle's picture is there.

rms, aka Robin

rmsRobin is a Giant Squid Community Organizer (along with Bonnie D) and a Giant Squid Mentor. She has dedicated herself to helping the new as well as the experienced lensmasters reach their fullest potential. Robin has probably left more comments in more guest books than anyone else at Squidoo. She reads numerous lenses on a daily basis and offers words of encouragement to her faithful followers. I don't know how she does what she does and still finds time to write lenses. We are so very fortunate to have Robin as a mentor.

Again, a simple Thank You seems insufficient for all her efforts. We are in your debt, Robin. You are paid in full.

jewelsofawe, aka Patricia

jewelsofawePatricia is Squidoo's greatest cheerleader. She faithfully reads the lenses in the Going for Giant Squid forum and comments on most of them if not all of them. She rivals Robin in that respect. Her advice and encouragement are without exception creative and supportive. You can always count on getting a compliment from her before she offers her constructive criticism. Her ideas are sound and helpful.

Does thank you really say enough for her efforts? Not really, but it's a start. Let's give a big 'hip, hip, hurray' for Patricia.
