- I've got a current account mortgage. That means that any money in your current account is automatically offset against your mortgage - which is very efficient - it saves you loads in mortgage interest. It's also very easy to pay it off fast, just by accumulating money in the current account. Only useful if you have good self control though - because it's just as easy to spend your over-payments, any time you fancy something new.
