A poem for your reading pleasure; it's a humorous look at sport competition; enjoy!
The Locker Room
coupled with the smell of fresh sweat.
The locker room fails to separate the odors
of pretenders, contenders and champions.
The battle of sport supersedes war,
allowing losers the opportunity to try again.
Between heartbreak loss and expected victory,
the perceived experience and attitude
has different affects on one's nostrils.
I have inhaled both the stench of losing
and the fragrance of winning -
In either case, hit the showers afterward.
