PCOS Disease Information
My wife Megan is a PCOS Disease sufferer. Megan is the love of my life and I am making it my mission to spread the word about PCOS disease to women who may not realize the major health problems PCOS disease has on a woman's body. I created this website for my wife, Megan, to provide up-to-date news on and information on PCOS Disease.
Check out Megan and I's PCOS Disease website. A loving husbands gift to his wife and hopefully to help women out there figure out what PCOS Disease is really all about.
Let's start by learning about the different kinds of PCOS Disease causes!

PCOS Disease Causes
Let's learn about the causes of PCOS disease.
PCOS disease, or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, is caused mainly by a hormonal imbalance in women. Normally, a woman's body produces lots of estrogen, the female hormone. A woman's body also produces (naturally mind you) a small amount of testosterone. Don't worry, this is a normal function of the body!
In women with PCOS disease, the symptoms you are experiencing, such as hair loss on the head, infertility, missed or irregular menstrual cycles, etc (symptoms will be covered in a different lens, or you can get more information on Megan and I's PCOS Disease website), are caused by a hormone imbalance. If you have PCOS disease, your body is producing many more androgens (male hormones such as testosterone) than it is estrogen.
When a womans' body has a high count of testosterone, you begin going through changes. The symptoms women with PCOS suffer are much like what a young teenage boy experiences as he hits puberty. The testosterone rises and the boy will begin seeing facial hair growth, body hair growth, and, more than likely as he gets older, male pattern baldness (testosterone is the main culprit for hair loss on the scalp if you weren't aware).
Also in women with PCOS disease, the high levels of testosterone will throw off your ability to ovulate, which is why infertility is such a big concern with women with PCOS disease.
Again, I'll get into symptoms later, however you should know of the main causes of PCOS disease which I've already explained and you should be aware that if you are suffering from PCOS disease and all the unfortunate symptoms that comes along with it, you at least now understand why...blame the hormone imbalance!
If you have PCOS disease I wish you all the best. There is no cure for PCOS disease and it is a lifelong battle my wife and I have been dealing with for quite some time, so from a husbands perspective, while I obviously can't directly relate due to not being female, I can definitely sympathize with you and do my best to help raise awareness. Megan is on a specific PCOS and ovarian cyst diet, which you can read about here. It's working quite well for her! Best of luck in your PCOS disease journey.
