Everyone wants to be organized. Organize things, appointments, or schedules of activities. Now, we don't need to worry about such things. PDA has come on our way to help us organize everything. PDA is our handheld organizer. They are also known as pocket computers or palmtop computers. PDA's has many uses: accessing the internet, sending and receiving emails, playing computer games, set as clock and calendar, calculation, video recording, typewriting and word processing, use as spreadsheet, radio, GPS, and many more. It's most significant characteristic is the presence of touch screen.
What Does PDA Stands For?
Before shopping your PDA you should be able to know what is PDA for? And how would it help you? PDA stands for Personal Digital Assistant, the term itself describes its function very well. Personal digital assistant (PDA) is designed to help the user gets its job well done at a short period of time. Therefore, we could say that PDA's most function is getting more done of our job. A PDA should function as your assistant, which means getting more jobs done with the least trouble and effort.There are many manufacturers of PDA, some of the most popular models of PDA are the Palm made by Palm One and iPAQ by HP. Whatever type or model your shopping for a PDA, just make sure that it contains the features and specifications you are looking for.
Elements to consider in getting a good PDA:
1. Memory Capacity. With todays demands of software, don't even think of going to less that 32 MB installed memory to start with even this could be expanded if future needs arise. Increased memory means more program can run at the same time w/o degrading the performance of your PDA. So, choose a memory card with high capacity.
2. Strong Processor. It is recommended that you aim for 624 MHz processor but if you have a modest budget a 312 MHz may do. A fast processor means that the PDA will function much more smoothly and will not bog down even there are more programs that are open.
3. Battery Life. A PDA with a dead battery is a useless PDA. It is important to choose a PDA w/ long battery life but you as user should have a spare battery for your PDA. Choose a batte
