The goal of PeaceKeeper is to raise money for women's health advocacy and human rights issues by donating all profits, after taxes, to targeted women's organizations. We are extraordinarily passionate about raising millions of dollars for needed, worldwide social change.

We make healthy, clean cosmetics that are exquisitely manufactured to support a woman's natural beauty. We support the unique notion of using make-up not for approval from others, but to celebrate one's own beauty. I recognize that not everyone lives the same and people have different beliefs. They use different products, some don't care what their products have in them as long as they work but others have made a commitment to living clean.

This is one of the reasons why I have been checking into PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics products. One of my fellow Rock Stars
brought this brand to my attention just a week ago or so. I was so excited about it because I had never heard of it before and not only are they a clean makeup, they do so much more.

I have to admit, until a few days ago I was totally ignorant to companies like this. I really want to put this in a place that brings attention to it so I thought "Hey!!! I know%u2026I can do a Squidoo Lens about it!!" I checked and there is only one on here about it and that is just NOT enough!!!

I will admit that most of the information that I am going to give to you can be found on their website. After all, who knows what they do best better than they do? I'm sure they won't mind that I am promoting their products and website through my Squidoo lens. The more people reached, the more people they can help!!!

I am in the process of writing an email to them about how I can go about carrying their products in my store. I am always looking for something new that would appeal to my customers. I have been wanting to find a great cosmetics company that carried "green" or "clean" products, so I am hoping that I will be able to carry these products in the future!!!

Lip Paint:

Nail Paint:
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Benzophenone-1, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Mica, Carmine, *Argan.

*Agran Oil is painstakingly made by hand in Morocco and is harvested by Berber women living near the forests, who use traditional methods requiring 12 hours to extract a single liter of oil. Benefits from this oil include antioxidants, Vitamin E and Linoleic acid all benefiting the health of the nail.

Cator Oil is an evergreen shrub that has been used medicinally for about 4,000 years. Castor Oil contains Lectins which are carbohydrate binding proteins.

Carnauba Wax is derived from the leaves of a Brazilian plant called the carnauba palm (Copernicia prunifera).

Beeswax is produced from the hives of honey bees. It is estimated that these bees fly approximately 150,000 miles to produce one pound of beeswax. Right now there is an alert in the science and agriculture sectors because the bee colonies are disappearing.

Shea Butter is extracted from the fruit of the Shea Tree. Shea Butter has strong moisturing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Mica which is a silicate mineral from the earth and whose name comes from the latin word Micare, which means "Shine". Mica use dates back way back to pre-historic times with the earliest use found in Paleolithic cave paintings.

Carmine (the creepy crawly of our make-up line) is a pigment derived from Carminic Acid from the scales of certain insects such as the cochineal. Vegans and folks not turned on by bugs should not use the products we make with Carmine. Carmine is the only red color alternative to synthetic FD&C coloring, so we feel it is the better choice.

Titanium Dioxide is the natural occurring oxide of titanium, a substance mined from the earth. The website Skin Deep, which measures toxicity in make-up, indicates that Titanium Dioxide has "little absorption and no adverse health effects". Titanium Dioxide can be found in toothpastes and other food substances as well. PeaceKeeper would like to see more concrete research as data gaps remain, Titanium Dioxide is rated very safe by all accounts though working with the substance can cause lung and respiratory problems.

Iron Oxides consist of sixteen known compounds of either oxides or hydroxides and oxidehydroxides. Iron oxide yields pigments which are used in cosmetics. They are considered non-toxic.

Ultramarines also are found in the earth and are consisted to be non-toxic.

Guidelines for an all-benefits company:

1. All profits after taxes, debt repayment, financing costs, reasonable working capital reserves, go to charity.

2. Has a commitment to using the best practices in all aspects of corporate responsibility.

3. Distributes funds to 501s3 non-profit organizations which are non-violent, non-partisan and non-denominational.

4. Provides products and services that do not harm.

5. Have a compelling business model that have potential to successfully address market needs and multiply the company's impact

Of course, just because I hadn't heard of them doesn't mean that they don't exist of that PeaceKeepers is the only one. There are more of them than you think out there and they provide products and services that are actually quite surprising.
