Pull Out Your Ice Cream Churn For A Fun Family Treat This Summer
When was the last time you churned ice cream?
We used to make it on special occasions but haven't made it in so long that I am not even sure where our churn is. Back before the electric churns, we would all take turns turning the crank. It was hard work but well worth all the effort.
My hubby, Papa Doc, makes the best Peach Ice Cream and I am going to share his special recipe with you here. Let me know how it turns out. Yummy!

Serving Your Homemade Ice Cream

You can serve your homemade peach ice cream in bowls or on a cone but it might be a little thin for an ice cream cone. It really depends on how well you churned but it seems that kids just love to eat theirs in a cone and so do I.

Dedicated To The One I Love!

This lens will go live today, May 6 2009. Thirty one years ago today my hubby and I tied the knot. He is an amazing man and I love him more today than I did 31 years ago
Papa Doc, as our grandson calls him, loves his family and friends. In fact, he loves people in general and all animals. He enjoys working in the yard, cooking and used to be a 1 handicap golfer. Jim enjoys being a physician and has practiced medicine in Pendleton SC for nearly 50 years. He will be 78 years old next month and still runs circles around me even though I am 17 years younger.
When he asked my dad for my hand in marriage, he was concerned about the age difference. Dad told him that very few people ever experienced true love and that if we could be happy for one year, we would have more than most. It is hard to believe that was thirty one years ago.
i love you, Honey!
Ya'll Come Back!
Thank you for dropping in.

- I am very picky when it comes to ice cream. Luckily in MA there are lots of great homemade ice cream stands. Unfortunately the good ones aren't open year round. I have an ice cream maker but, haven't used it in a while. I will need to give this recipe a try since I love peaches.
Can I get Junket Tablets in the grocery store? I have never heard of them.
