Peacock Eye Shadow A Great Look for the Eyes

When putting on the mascara the important thing is to hold the brush as close to the base of the eye lashes as possible. When moving the brush to the tip of the lashes you should roll the brush at the same time. This helps to ensure that each lash has been covered and separated. You can use 2 to 3 coats of mascara. I only used one with the Falsies mascara. This lens offers easy to apply eyeshadow and eye cosmetic tips. It's easyier than you think to create the Peacock Eye Shadow look.

Peacock Eye Shadow - How to Create it!

Items needed to create the Peacock look:

Eyeliner - I used the Wet n Wild Black Pencil
Mascara - Black (I used Falsies)
Eyeshadow Color - Gold, Lime Green, Medium Purple, and Sky Blue

How to Apply the Peacock Shadow
Using the applicator that came with the shadow, apply the gold eyeshadow to the whole eye lid and up to the eye brow. Apply the medium purple to the inner corner of the eye lid to the middle of the eye lid. Apply the lime green shadow from the middle of the eye lid to the outer corner. Place the sky blue shadow in the middle of the lid where the medium purple and lime green meet to gently blend the area between the two colors. Using your finger, lightly blend the area where the colors meet.

Applying the Eyeliner and Mascara for the Peacock look:
Using the black eyeliner pencil start from the outer top corner of the eye and create a line as close to the eye lash line as possible to the middle of the eye. When creating the wing off the outer corner of the eye, follow the natural curve of your eye lashes. This line can be short or long, depending on the effect you are looking for. The line I have shown here is a longer line almost reaching a half inch. Place the black eye liner from inner corner of the lower lid to the outer corner of the lid directly at the base of the lashes. *Tip* To keep your black liner from running or smudging, use the tip of the shadow applicator and place black shadow directly on top of the liner. This will set the liner.

When putting on the mascara, the important thing is to hold the brush as close to the base of the eye lashes as possible. When moving the brush to the tip of the lash you should roll the brush at the same time. This helps to ensure that each lash has been covered and separated. You can use 2 to 3 coats of mascara. I only used one with the Falsies mascara.

To finish the look, add the gold eyeshadow right under the liner on the bottom lid. This will also cover up any of the mascara or liner that might have smudged.

I love the peacock eyeshadow but feel at over 50 I am now to old to wear it. What do you think?

I use makeup as a way of expressing myself. I don't think it should be tied down to one's age. Love and laughter keeps you young at heart. If putting on makeup a certain way makes you feel beautiful and happy than I would go for it! Thanks for the comment! :)

As a senior, I think less eyeshadow color works better. My choices are in the grays and blues which work well with my gray hair coloring. I really need to get my granddaughter to read this lens....very good information was provided.

I agree with Mia , Peacock eye shadow really is gorgeous on brown and hazel eyes, they just pop. I tend to use not much makeup and generally the earth tones.
