Making Peanut Butter Pumpkins For Halloween

So gather your ingredients and supplies to start making these quick, bite-sized pumpkins for a last-minute Halloween get-together. You can also add jack-o'-lantern faces with a tube of black icing.

Peanut Butter Pumpkins Recipe
1 stick butter
1 small jar (12 ounces) peanut butter
1 box (16 ounces) confectioners' sugar, sifted
Red and yellow food coloring, several drops each
Tube of green icing
Large bowl
Wooden spoon
Toothpick
Melt butter in a large bowl and add drops of red and yellow food color ing until the butter has a nice orange color. Add peanut butter and con fectioners' sugar, and use a wooden spoon to mix everything together thoroughly until a doughlike con sistency is achieved.
Shape dough into small balls. Make ridges on the pumpkins with a toothpick. Add a small amount of green icing to the top of each pump kin for a stem. Makes 15 to 20 pumpkins, depending on size.
