Peanut Butter and Jellyfish

Welcome to the Official Peanut Butter and Jellyfish Lens on Squidoo!

This lens is all about kids and the funny things they say.  For instance, my 3 year old son wanted a sandwich the other day so I made him a peanut butter sandwich, folded it and handed it to him.  He asks me, "Is that my peanut butter and jellyfish, mama?"  Apparently, he was referring to Spongebob, but I remarked, "Yes, honey, that's your peanut butter and jellyfish."  Eventhough I didn't even put jelly on it, I was laughing too hard to care and he was happy to have his sandwich.

I'm currently looking for submissions from moms and dads across America.  Please post your kid's funniest sayings in the Post It section of this lens.  Our readers want to hear what kids are saying and what creative things their imaginations come up with everyday.  Thanks for your submission! (Limit one per day please)

My 3-1/2 year old daughter has all the answers. This is some of her observations:

    1) Butterflies don't wear sunglasses. They can see without them.
    2) Ants are afraid of rain because they like to drink the rain.
    3) The bug is walking because the door is locked and its going to rain today.

...and when I asked her the other day, "Why did God make grass?" She quickly replied, "Because he made the grass on the floor."

My son wanted a shirt that I had just washed. I told him to get it out of the dryer, not realizing it had already been emptied. He ran back up to me saying, "I looked in the dryer and it wasn't there, so I looked in the wetter and it wasn't there too!" :-D

My girls see the sign for the Brahm's Ice cream store whenever we drive through town. They always get really excited that we might go to "Ice Cream World!"

When my daughter was about 3, we were taking a trip on a Ferry and would be driving our car onto it. She had never done this before and we were excited to tell her about it. When we did, she started to cry. I asked what was the matter and she said that if we drove our car on the "fairy" it would get hurt and not be able to carry us!

When my daughter Jennifer was about 3, if she wanted a drink, she would point at the frig and say "Gink". Of course trying to be a good mom I told her to say duh-rink, her version came out "duh-gink"

My son runs around saying "Moint". I have no idea what it means but when I say it back to him he gets mad, crosses his arms and walks away... I'm beginning to get the feeling he's insulting me...

When my son was little, we were driving out in the country and he saw a horse with a blanket on."Look at that horse wearing a diaper",he said.
