Peasholm Park, Scarborough's Hidden Treasure

Ranked #14,261 in Travel & Places, #342,121 overall

Peasholm Park

Back in 2008, I had the privilege of visiting Peasholm Park while I was on holiday in Scarborough. It's one of the nicest parks I've visited. So here is a page about the park, including some pictures I took on my visit.

Scarborough is a Seaside town on the East coast of England.

The Japanese Garden

The highlight of my visit had to be the Japanese garden. At the very top of the island (after walking up A LOT of steps!) you will find a beautiful oriental themed municipal garden. I'm sure it's well known, but as this was my first time at Peasholm Park, I felt like I had discovered a secret little gem. It was a busy day in the park, but I was the only one at the top of the island. The view from the top is beautiful, and there's a lovely little gazebo where you could eat your lunch. I could have stayed up there all day!

But don't take my word for it, have a look at the photos I took below.
