Does the PedEgg Really Work? My True Story

I rolled my eyes when I heard about the PedEgg because I have been burned so many times in the past by products that claim they will make my rough, hardened feet feel soft as a baby's bottom again. They never worked before, so why would the PedEgg be different?

I am from Texas and since birth have run around barefoot. I can't stand socks. So my poor feet took a beating and I never thought about it until my husband mentioned how rough my feet were and said, "Eew" when he touched them. I was SO embarrassed then. My feet looked like that picture to the left (it's not me but they were like that). Sidenote: When my daughter just saw my add that image (she's 4) she said, "Mommy, that looks how YOUR feet used to look!" LOL

I went to the salon and got a pedicure. She even used the ILLEGAL scraper they have that pedicurists aren't supposed to use - and it literally took a layer of skin off. But days later they were just as rough as before. (I was that desperate that I risked an infection - stupid!).

I bought every pumice stone, rough foot cream, exfoliant and softening wax you could get over the counter to soften rough feet and NOTHING worked - at least not more than 24-48 hours. I had resigned myself to just dealing with the embarrassment of it - wearing sandals was humiliating.

Then my sister said, "Oh I use the PedEgg - it works great." Yeah yeah...heard that before. I figured that meant it works great on people whose feet were not hard as rock like mine. But one day I was out and saw it and had extra money to splurge with and I grabbed one for the hell of it (it was date night and I was in a pampering mood).

I sat down, did one side of my heel mindlessly while I watch TV and then felt it. I was SHOCKED at how much skin was gone. Not painful at all - just grated off my heels. YUCK, I know! So I did my whole heel and when I was done, the rough skin was gone but they were also still chopped up feeling. So I used the file that came with the PedEgg and OMG I swear to you - my heels ARE as soft as a baby's butt now. I only use it maybe once a week to touch up any rough spots.

My husband loves my feet now. My pantyhose don't snag on them when I get dressed. They don't scratch him when I happen to touch my feet against his leg. I am no longer humiliated. I can wear sandals. Best. Invention. EVER! Read on to learn more...

How to Use the "As Seen on TV" PedEgg at Home Pedicure Tool:

  1. Do NOT wet your feet or put lotion on them. The PedEgg works best when your feet are dry and rough.
  2. Put a towel under your foot or do it over a trashcan because although the container captures the "dust" of dead skin coming off, some of it does fall to the floor.
  3. Scrape the PedEgg back and forth across the rough areas of your skin. You don't have to do it hard - just like you're grating cheese (gross, I know).
  4. Go over all of the rough spots on your foot with the PedEgg.
  5. After your entire foot is "grated" so to speak, take the bottom of the PedEgg and file your foot down to a smooth state. This only takes one or two passes - it's like the finishing touch.
  6. Dump the shavings from your PedEgg into the trash and wipe it off with a clean, dry towel.
  7. Pick your jaw up off the ground because you're not going to believe how good it worked. And you're going to be angry about all the money you've spent on pricey rough feet cures when a $10 gadget was there waiting for all the time.

Buy the PedEgg for Under $10!

While a professional pedicure costs anywhere from $20 at one of those stripmall walk in shops to $80 or more at a nice salon, you'll get ten times better results just forking over a measly $9 and some change for the PedEgg - it works, period!

"I have extremely callused feet - so bad that my calluses often make the back of my heels cracked and at right angles... I'd say the thickness of my calluses on the heels (where it is the worst) are around 1/8" thick. Gross.

Anyway- PedEgg made quick and comfortable work of removing those calluses and then I used my stand alone smoothing file to finish the job....

I was amazed at how quick and comfortable it was and a little horrified (and fascinated) by the amount of callus dust in the containment area... There were a few tablespoons... It was nasty BUT my feet look better than they have in 6 years of using Diamancel's #20 file (which was close to $50 if I remember correctly).... This clearly did its job...I washed it after use but I didn't have to stop and rinse it and it showed no signs of "gumming" up during the first run with it- unlike other foot implements that I have had to bang like heck or scrub to finish the job...

And this product seems much safer than the typical callus shavers on the market (and not as scary in concept!).... "

"My husbands feet callous very fast and then split. We have tried many, many tools and creams, but this works the best. When I first used it on him, I said, "this thing isn't working at all." Then I opened the egg and found that it had worked extremely well. I kept using it and it was, indeed, incredible. His feet have never been so soft."

Just the thought of "foot flakes" falling grosses me out. I couldn't watch the video of the lady demonstrating her PedEgg.

I never thought I'd say a lens about the PedEgg was interesting, but this one was. :)

I love my PedEgg... I decided to invest in one after reading this lens ... cost $65 in Australia which is a rip off in my opinion, but the darned thing works so well I have to say its worth every cent!

Not worth it. You have to scrub and scrub and scrub. Flakes DO go all over the place, YUKK. My feet aren't really bad and it seemed like it just tore them up and they felt even rougher. I had better results with a metal foot file that I bought for a dollar from the Dollar Tree. And when those wear out, the replacements are yep, you guessed it...only a dollar.

Just fyi the replacement blades that cost 9.99 for 3 blades will give you only 1 blade sharp, it happens to me twice. I like this product it works well, but it bugs me now that the replacement is a rip off.
