I can't begin to describe my unsung heroes in 1000 characters - but I can tell you there are many people in my past for whom I will always have thankfulness in my heart. I think of them as my angels in disguise, for they appeared out of nowhere, came to my assistance, and I never saw them again. The red-haired intern who held my hand and let me cry when I got the news that my unborn child had perished; the nurse who held me and let me cry out my anguish that my child had been battered at the hands of caretakers I trusted; the kind soul who put the bottle of perfume for me into the Christmas box my children received one year when I was darned lucky to have been able to pay the rent and keep them fed. I have many unsung heroes in my life and I don't know their names, only that their hearts reached out to me when I desperately needed it. Do they know I remember them and pray for their well-being 30 years later? Probably not. But I will remember them forever: my unsung heroes.

That was an incredible story. He sounds like an amazing doctor and mentor. I would give my right arm for a doctor like that caring for my children. Thank you for sharing this inspiring story! 5 stars (I've give you ten if I could).

Your friend, PG, sounds like an absolute delight. His eyes almost twinkle through the computer screen! Great story!
