The Primo Viaggio Peg Perego 2008 SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat is best known for not only it's luxurious comfort for baby, but it's extreme "side impact protection" and ability to carry a baby up to 30 lbs and/or 30" (thus the name "SIP 30/30").

On the 2008 model of this car seat, there are far more positive reviews than with the models of earlier years. It's construction is more sturdy and is more lasting (based on customer reviews and info from the company).

It gets raves from parents for it's ease of use, comfort for baby and elegant style that is so typical of Peg Perego.

Negative point: The main negative comment for the 2008 Primo Viaggio Peg Perego 2008 has to do with it's weight. (This is also complained about with earlier models.) The seat weighs 11 lbs and the base weighs 7 lbs, which for some might be tough to carry for an extended time, but it's likely that in order to fit the strict safety standards, it was necessary to add some weight to it, which would basically mean a tradeoff: tired arms vs. more safety. (That is my conclusion, at any rate.)
