John Deere Loader I got this for our grandson who is 3 years old and he just loves it. I was very happy with the solid construction and the chain drive.

Not just a grandma toy We bought this for our 2 year old grandson. He's really impressed with the real thing (Grandpa's big John Deere) so we were happy that this toy has a very realistic appearance. He was thrilled and had to fight his 5 year old sister for driving rights. He's not quite mastered the pedals, but he is already in love with it. On the negative side, the assembly instructions were pathetic. My farmer husband and I (collision repair center manager) took 2.5 hours to assemble the toy. Maybe ours was a little 'off', but even if the parts had assembled easily, which they didn't, we would have had to backtrack to get the decals on properly. Then, after it was together, the grandson found out by accident how to lower the bucket. I highly recommend this toy, but allow plenty of time to assemble and have your common sense turned on.
