Prince Edward Island Attractions
PEI is a water paradise. An Island surrounded by nice beaches and the warmest water North of The Carolina's. Combine that with numerous high quality golf courses and you have a great vacation planned out.
Most of the attractions on PEI revolve around the natural beauty of the Island.

Beaches - Prince Edward Island
Description of beaches on PEI.
The thing with beaches on PEI is all the Provincial parks are free while the Federal ones cost money. Keep that in mind when you plan your trip.
Cavendish - most popular and somewhat overrated of the main beaches. You will seldom find any islanders at this beach but it is a happening place. Pay to access. Approx $15 a day.
Brackley - the better choice for north shore beaches. Locals pick this over Cavendish. Pay to access. Approx $15 a day.
Basin Head - probably the most underrated beach on the island. If you're near Souris you need to check this one out.
West Point - best beach if your on the West end of PEI. Free.
Canoe Cove - is a free beach on the south shore, relatively close to Charlottetown. Good for skim boarding and there are bridges you can jump off on route. Free.
Tracadie - a local favorite. Although not promoted, is a great place to drink on the beach. The water also drops off very quickly allowing swimmers do dive in. Be careful especially if you've had some beers!

Amusement Parks - Sandspit, Shining Waters Family Fun Park, and Ripley's Believe It or Not! are a good way to spend a day in around Cavendish.
Avonlea Village/Green Gables - Anne of Green Gables always seems to be popular with tourists. In Cavendish you will find lots to do in regards to the love able red head.
Founders Hall - PEI is the birthplace of Confederation. Head down to the waterfront and learn about the founding of Canada.
