Prince Edward Island Nightlife - Recommended Bars

There isn't really one big bar on PEI anymore but you can always find a drink in the city of Charlottetown. But that has not stopped people from enjoying themselves. Here is a list of some of the more popular places

Peakes - is one of the better places to go but is only open in the summer. It's right on the waterfront. It's expensive but worth it if you're a tourist.

Jakes - is often regarded as the overflow for Peakes in the summer but I enjoy it.

The Wave- only open in the school year. University bar. Typically dance party bar but they get the odd good band.

Velvet Underground - aka the dirty dird. I've never had a bad time here but I keep my expectations low.

Hunters - is a small place where you can get some beer and good food. They usually have a band playing at night.

Old Dublin - good place to get a pint and some Maritime music.

The Gahan House - is a great pub which brews beers locally. Good food too.
