Pencil Sketches I Love on Squidoo & Redgage
I love to sketch using pencil and I have great admiration for fellow artists. For me sketching is not about the outcome or the finished product, but the inner journey that satisfies the soul's yearning to create. When I am in the mood to sketch a drawing, any kind of pencil will do, but the degree of softness of the lead will make a difference. I don't mind the mechanical pencil because the tip's always the same and there's no need to sharpen. I love drawing, and when I find the time for it, it takes me away to a nonlinear space. It's hard to stay present in the linear when I am in the midst of drawing. Folks who knit for pleasure often say the same thing, the activity takes them away to a delightful inner space. I don't draw that often because once I get started, weeks can go by and I won't notice anything else but my art. Here I'm hosting links to my pencil sketches on Redgage.com, and also to pencil sketches I like from others in the Redgage community. Redgage is a file and link sharing community that pays for views to uploaded content. They also feature content (with bonus pay) and hold daily contests for $25 which is applied to the Redgage Visa debit card one earns through the program. If you've got unique content, like these pencil drawings, Redgage is a great way to both show them off, and potentially earn from them. The program is easy to use and the community is great. I've uploaded many of my pencil sketches and am listing them here to combine the best of both worlds with Squidoo and Redgage. I'm working on including Zazzle products with my sketches on them, and have included some pencil sketch posters available to purchase from Allposters.

- The sketch I did of Dr David R Hawkins when I was in the midst of a mental health breakdown. I found great comfort in sketching my spiritual teacher during this time. In 2007, I experienced an illumination of ego and spirit, and realized I am not the ego. In 2008 I attempted to return to society as I once previously operated in it, and that's when the breakdown occurred. I wrote about it in Karma's Story.

- This picture got coffee spilled on it, and it looked just like a birthmark. Thus, the title.

This is a pencil sketch I did of my eldest daughter in her highschool graduation gear. Paige is a very talented artist; her talent far surpasses mine. Artistic talent runs in our family; my paternal grandmother was an incredible sketch artist, painter and sculptor.
