My sister, Joan4, made the first Squidoo lens about our hometown of Pendleton SC and I have followed with many more. I love to promote Pendleton and am continuing to make lenses about Happenings, Events, and History in Pendleton. I needed one place where I could list these Pendleton lenses for my readers. Therefore, this page will be a directory or lensography of all the Pendleton SC lenses. I also have written other lenses on a variety of subjects and they sometimes include information about Pendleton but will only include the ones directly related to Pendleton here. The Squidoo Lensmasters from all over the world have been so nice about visiting my Pendleton lenses and have commented that Pendleton is the "Mayberry of Squidoo". I realize that they probably get tired of me talking about Pendleton but then Pendleton probably gets tired of me talking about Squidoo.

What is Squidoo?
Squidoo is free platform where anyone can write about things they are passionate about. It is possible to make money on Squidoo as well as contribute to many charitable organizations.
What is a Lens?
I describe a lens as a mini scroll down web page. It is different from a website in that a website has tabs to go deeper into the site instead of scrolling down on a lens. You will find "featured lenses" or "featured links" that you can click to get further information.
Besides the Squidoo lenses, I also have 3 blogs which feed into the different lenses and will list them here as well. I also have 2 shops: one on Zazzle and one on Cafe Press which I will include here.
In this case, all the Pendleton lenses will be featured so just click on the one that you would like to visit.

Old Pendleton Photos
Pendleton was founded in 1790 and is rich in history. I enjoy learning more about our history and enjoyed putting these two lenses together. Residents have been very generous sharing their photos and continue to help make these two lenses enjoyable. I love the stories behind the old photos and have tried to add them here.

Organizations and Places in Pendleton SC
There are many non profit organizations in Pendleton. There is no reason for anyone to be bored as there is always plenty of volunteer opportunities available. Our Friends of the Park is now a Squidoo Partner Non Profit and we are very excited about building lenses to support our cause which is Veterans Park.
Special Events In Pendleton SC
Spring Jubilee is Pendleton's largest event. It is always held the first full weekend in April. We also have other events that I will be making lenses about such as Freedom Fest and Fall Festival.
