Conservation Efforts

Guess what ... conservation efforts do work. While it may be a monumental task to bring some species back from the brink of extinction there are positive stories of dedicated people who are doing just that.

The Yellow-eyed penguin trust is a great example of success with conservation efforts. While the Yellow-eyed penguin is still endangered, and much more work still needs to be done before the species can become self-sustaining, the past 25 years has seen an increase in the Yellow-eyed penguin population.

Conservation works. Don't leave it up to others to do all of the work. Visit the sites below to see how you can help and be a part of the success in conserving penguin populations around the world.
