Deluxe 38-Volume Shakespeare Collection Now Available
Shakespeare was famous in his day for writing plays that appealed not only to wealthy patrons, but to the common folk as well. Patrician or groundling, you will enjoy Shakespeare once you begin to become comfortable with the Elizabethan style of the language.
This really doesn't take as long as you might think, although I sometimes reread the first few scenes after the phrasing starts to make a little more sense. It's the same usage as in the King James Bible, after all.

Tragedies I
I apologize for the redundancy of this comment, but people don't always read full web pages, and I want to be clear -- The books listed here are not the hardbound versions in the collection. Those are only available as a set. These editions are (AFAIK) the Orgel & Braunmuller texts, however so the reader's comments at Amazon should apply.
