Penguins Can Fly! Dispute Me If You Dare
Ranked #1,591 in Pets & Animals, #42,607 overall
Here Is The Proof: Penguins Can Fly!
Penguins can fly and I have the proof. Well, I didn't personally see them fly. However, I saw it on BBC, so we know it has to be real. Take a look at the photo and you have to admit, penguins can fly. Evolution is upon us. And a species of these formerly flightless birds now fly. Yes, I know it goes against everything we were taught in school, but that is what evolution is about - change. That was then and this is now.
Still don't believe me, well, have a look, BBC caught their miraculous discovery on video. So, sit back and prepare to be amazed as you watch and see that penguins can fly.
Photo is a clip from video below.
Quick: Can Penguins Fly?
Now That You Have Seen Flying Penguins in The Video, What Do You Think?
Tell Me What Think About The Flying Penguins:
Of Course penguins can fly!
We know my position, penguins can fly. And BBC was lucky enough to capture it on film and share their great discovery with the world. How you can you dispute what you see with your own eyes. Well, here is your chance.
Do You Agree with that Penguins Can Fly?

Yes, you're right! The video is real and penguins can fly
Squidoo_Chick says:
Yes they can but not in the regular way they just need a launch pad
Flightless Penguin says:
this is how it would look if penguins could fly :0
DavidDove says:
Whoever doubted it?
dummies says:
guys this video is real beacause if you look at the xray long time ago there wigs were diffrent and a few years there wings were disined for swiming. im a kid and you guys dont know.
HealthyBodee says:
So who says penguins can't fly? It's a well known fact that they can fly, how come this is even a question??? They migrate to Africa for the winter months as the Arctic gets a little chilly. Then, when the African summer becomes too much for them, their babies stand on their feet and the parent flies (albiet awkwardly) back to the Artic. I thought everyone knew this.... am I the only one???
whatwhat says:
yaaaaaaaaaa
Worzel says:
That is fantastic - do they have any footage of PIGS?
Arshia Kaul says:
Actually it may be so that evolution is taking place but if you watch the video at 1:03 it may seem as if the video is animated. Doesn't it? But according to me this is 70% true.
MisterJeremy says:
Yes, they can fly. I believe everything I see on youtube.
JJ says:
They're birds, aren't they? Of course they can fly!
MuskyJim says:
As soon as squirrels land on the moon, but those to say they already haven't.
Clairwil says:
I want to believe, so I shall.
BarbRad says:
I'm still skeptical, but unless the video is a fake, I guess some penguins can, though I'm not ready to buy that they can fly thousands of miles. Those shots of hundreds of "penguins" in the air were far enough away that they could have been some other bird.
BuckHawk says:
I really thought we were talking about just a little push off and now full-fledged flying, but that video is really amazing. You convinced me!
tssfacts says:
Ok I saw the video and say yes they can fly. After all didn't people say that bees couldn't fly at one time or another.
Pukeko says:
Wow, learn something new everyday. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
No way, Pukeko you are Monkeybrain! Penguins can't fly and the video is a joke.
Person says:
Penguins can't fly, but razorbills can (called penguins in french). This video though, is very clearly fake.
patgoltz says:
Perhaps penguins can fly. But evolution is a fairy tale. My husband says, "I don't think so! Actually penguins do fly: underwater."
infiniti99 says:
large body very small wings.I'm going with No!
Alexis says:
NOOOOOOO. Idiots.
Ivdesyaria says:
CGI
Haha says:
Haha :D you call it debates
cookie-dough02 says:
this video is soo fake!!
grandmamarilyn says:
I saw it but it is still hard to believe. My mind wants to tell me that what I saw was a fake. I have to go with no.
Ladymermaid says:
I sure wish that they could fly that video was amazing. Magical.
kat292 says:
Penguins migrating to a tropical rainforest? : l kinda hard to believe, but I need to be in the antartic and see them literally flap and take off the ground before I can believe it.
GardenArbor says:
Sorry, not a chance
HorseAndPony says:
I think it was fake. Just another BBC funny! :)
2muchtrash says:
I guess it depends on your definition of 'flying'. The lack of wingspan and body weight seem to indicate that penguins are not designed to be able to fly. Their wings are more like flippers than wings, but I believe that if they jump of a high enough cliff, before they hit the water they could technically 'fly', but then so could I!
jptanabe says:
I love those flying penguins, but no I don't believe they're real!
flipflopnana says:
I don't know I think I need more proof. I have seen them just soar through the water as if they were flying but I just cannot see those little wings carrying them in the air.
pinkhoodie says:
Look at their flipper surface area to weight ratio. No way they can fly
spirituality says:
Did you see those wings? Do you really think they can hold a whole penguin? The video has to be fake.
justin Grimes says:
penguins cant fly its been proven. also that video is a joke.
CreativeArtist says:
I would say perhaps for short distances, but not as portrayed in the video.
LeanneChesser says:
Very cool, but no. Penguins can't fly.

Were you fooled by the flying penguins? Don't feel bad, they had me wondering too. And on the day it aired, The Daily Telegraph published that the BBC had "remarkable footage of penguins flying as part of its new natural history series, Miracles of Evolution." (This may have been part of the prank, as the other major British paper also ran a story about it too.)

- Well, thanks for clearing that one up for everyone, just sorry you had to take the time to explain the obvious. Just one thing, did you say they could hover? In the Falklands war RAF pilots noticed that if you flew your aircraft towards them they would all fall over backwards, they can't swivel their eyes vertically and to follow the flight path required them to move their heads, hence falling over backwards. Honest!
