Most of the resources listed here are no-kill, and we recommend them most highly.
The shelters that do euthanize pets are listed here in the hope that you will adopt pets from them.

- Bideawee is one of the oldest no-kill animal adoption centers in the NYC / Long Island metro area.
Services include pet adoption, veterinary clinics that spay, neuter and offer full services; grief support, pet cremation and burial, and pet therapy.

- Racing greyhounds have short working lives. Many are euthanized before they even race, if they turn out to be not so fast.
