My wife is Guyanese and every X-mas my father-in-law makes his famous pepperpot. We eat that on X-mas morning with plenty of Guyana bread. The bread really soaks up the gravy. You have a great lens here and I am adding it to my favorites and giving you 5 stars! I am looking forward to trying some of the other recipes and may even attempt to make my own pepperpot.

Im making this today. My Mum brought over some real amerindian cassareep... P.s. My home made bread is in the oven :))... In Guyana we use wiri wiri pepper (small like cherry)

I should have mentioned it - if you can't get hold of cow heel, pig trotters should do the trick :) In fact, that's how Chinese make it in Guyana.

It sounds good - I might have difficulties getting hold of cow heels though. Round here, they're usually still attached to the cow.
