Daydreaming about the Perfect Curl-Sun and Surf

Waves crashing on the sand, the awesome power of the ocean swells, sounds like heaven doesn't it. That's life around the sea, or at least on a fantastic Caribbean or Pacific Riviera vacation.

OK, you can probably tell I've been dreaming again.

It has gotten cold here in the Ozarks, and I'm dreaming about warm weather cruises, seafaring adventures and big beautiful perfect Curls and Barrel waves. My kids and I have taken vacations to the ocean, and ocean voyage cruises, and I daydream about them. Anyway those dreams seemed much better than the cold we have been getting around here lately. I want to go back!

I think of powerful awesome waves like the ones the surfers love. Not that I have ever surfed, but, I love the awesome beauty anyway. They are so beautiful and powerful.

Come along while I dream

Notice the beautiful Perfect Curl below, with the golden sun captured in the droplets of the sparkling water.

Following are pictures of places we have been, pictures of fabulous huge waves, coffee top books on Waves, a video that is both gorgeous, but sounds tranquil and peaceful too. I just hope you enjoy my musings.

Great Health to You,

Underwater Stingray

Enjoying Water Activities and Marine Life

Tyler at Sting Ray Island with a soft cuddly stingray

Tyler at StingRay IslandOn the cruise, we were able to take many excursions involving water.. I even got up close and personal with a beautiful, strong yet gentle dolphin.

I love to swim, snorkel, and anything else that has to do with water. I guess I must be half fish.

On this particular trip I enjoyed getting many underwater shots-not like the professionals of course, but, I enjoyed them. Some were of fish, turtles, coral and the reef. No I have never gotten in the barrel of a wave, not enough nerve I guess, but that doesn't mean you won't see them here.

I did get some fantastic shots of some fish I followed when I was snorkeling. At least I think they were fantastic. I am no professional photographer. I followed some fish that looked like black velvet (yes the black was that intense) with a purplish stripe. And I also got some of a large magnificent sea turtle. We even went to Stingray island where we were able to hand feed the stingrays, and I even had one put on my back. Then we just took pictures of each other. It was so much fun.

Close and Personal with Beautiful Bottle Nose Dolphins

They look so sweet friendly and lovable

My Grandson Tyler with a Sea Turtle

Tyler with Sea TurtleOn the cruises - we took many excursions involving water.. I even got up close and personal with a beautiful, strong yet gentle dolphin.

My daughter, son-in-law and grandson were there with me.

We also went to a Sea Turtle Breeding farm. They had hundreds of sea turtles of every size there. Notice the picture of Tyler holding one of the turtles. He likes all these sea creatures just like I do. Actually he likes just about everything.

Great Waterproof Camers

Get the shots you want while on your seafaring adventure

I took lots of underwater pictures, although I had them printed. Now I wish I had put them on my computer too. I may do that later.

It is wonderful that we are now able to get pictures above as well as below the waterline. Underwater is so beautiful-it should not to be missed.

All these cameras are rated very high, you may want to read the reviews yourself - I always do.

Some of the reviewers bought these waterproof camera to take on a trip as they are more durable, and safer if you happen to drop into the water, and they were good whether in or out of the water.

Oh, notice that I have some that are very inexpensive, and one that was a little more moderate. With the least expensive ones, they were still rated very good for the money.

The Beauty and the Sound of the Surf at Sunrise

I love the sound and the peacefulness of waves on the shore

I used to visit my grandmother every summer, and the only thing between us and the ocean was a sand-dune. I slept so well at night. I know I could sure sleep to this.

My husband and I went on a Windjammer Caribbean cruise many, MANY years ago (before children). It was fabulous and I didn't want to leave. We also lived in Virginia Beach for a number of years. Your pictures evoked that wonderful fragrance of sand and surf which I dearly love - and still miss! Beautiful lens, Carmel!
