Attain permanent weight loss - made easy by following a few basic rules and tips. Most of us want to lose some weight but the usual methods are ineffective. There is a whole lot of advice and information on the internet on easy weight loss. Most is no help at all. We all know diets just do not work. How many times have you tried the latest diet only to give up a few weeks or months later. Then the weight goes back on and you end up worse than when you started!  

Why is that? It seems that your body adjusts its balance to your calorie intake. So if you halve the amount you take in, your body slows to use less calories. As a result you don't lose the weight that you expected to. When you stop then your metabolism alters again to match the intake. It seems as if you can't win.

The difficulty with diets is that your body regards them as punishment. We want to eat. Eating is pleasurable, so limiting that is painful and we naturally resent the idea. Besides all that the practicalities of dieting are another obstacle. It is not easy preparing yourself a low calorie diet meal when you have hungry children returning from school and a partner coming home from work expecting a higher calorie meal. It is somehow so much easier to prepare the same food for everyone rather than 2 or 3 different meals.

The seeds of failure are sown straight away.

Why do we feel the need to diet? We are constantly bombarded with images and videos of the movie stars and 'celebs' parading their new thin bodies in front of us. The magazines sell their clothes and cosmetics with the 'body beautiful'. The Government constantly pushes how we are all over-eating and will get this disease or that problem if we do not stop it. It all adds up to extra pressure. The average person is nothing like a celebrity. Have you noticed how they all make a fitness/weight loss video as well? I bet they don't mention how you need the cosmetic surgery as well to get 'the look'!

So what am I getting at? Well, first thing is to stop worrying so much about weight loss in itself. You need a change of mental attitude to accept that you are a certain build and not go chasing it down to an anorexic stick insect. Be happy with a compromise. Work on your general health and well being and the rest will follow.

Easy weight loss is inexorably linked to a much wider picture of your bodies' health. You need to address your bodies' general health and fitness levels and any aspect of your being that can affect your weight including your mental dexterity and acuity. If you can build a really healthy lifestyle based on relaxing your mind and body and make sure that your body only consumes wholesome pure food, you will be well on the way to purging your old lifestyle and bringing on the new you!

I can almost hear you say this all sounds like a pep talk and its all well and good waffling on about all this but it is not so easy in everyday life. I know, but all you need to do is take a very small first step. If you look at a mountain it would put you off climbing it. But look at the first step and it's only a hillock. Take a few of those and you will look back and realize that you have risen higher than you thought. The mountain top will not seem so far off then. The most important step is the first one.

You need to think about my earlier points on how your body alters to match your calorie intake. So fool it! Convince it that this new regime is here to stay and not a flash in the pan. You don't have to think of diets; eat your normal food but more sensibly and your body won't even realise you are cutting calorie levels. The increase in mental and physical activity also distracts your body. Give it something to work on and food intake becomes less important to it!

Easy Weight Loss Tips 

Here are a few pointers that maybe worth thinking about;

* Eat regularly. Don't miss breakfast. You only get over hungry and eat more later. Regular food intake is essential to keep your body balance right. Starving will work against you.
* Eat plain popcorn as a snack. Zero calories as long as you don't put any sugar/honey, etc on them. Buy a cheap popcorn maker - you can then pop your own corn. It tastes better fresh and warm and will seem more of a treat.
* Never go shopping on an empty stomach. Eat first and you will tend to buy less. Shop on an empty stomach and your trolley will end up with loads of things you don't really need. You could even end up saving some money!
* Drink water or a lo-cal drink 15 minutes before eating. It helps reduce the appetite.
* Make sure the meal is relaxed - maybe have a wine with it. Take your time and enjoy the food and the company and you may tend to eat less. The French take a few hours over lunch. Americans take a few minutes and often eat while walking or on the mobile. Stop, sit and drop out of the world for a little 'personal' time. Eat at a table - never on your lap as a TV meal.
* A small amount of high quality food is sometimes more satisfying than a large quantity of junk food. Develop a gourmet mentality.
* Salads don't have to be boring. Explore the whole range of dressings and exotic ingredients. Make each salad an adventure
* Look into the 'negative calorie' foods. These are foods which are supposed to burn more calories to digest than they contain. In other words you have a negative calorie balance when you eat them. The theory is that you will thus lose weight by burning excess calories without trying! Read via the links section.
* Exercise needs to be regular, but you don't have to overdo it. Fitness can be achieved by doing the things you enjoy. Walking in the country, playing golf, yoga and Pilates.
* Alternative lifestyles including interests such as Tai Chi, meditation and Buddhism can give a new outlook on life. A more relaxed and peaceful inner self is more able to cope with the stresses of the modern world and eating per se is then not so imperative.
* Take a little cider vinegar after each meal.
* Learn to be satisfied with your body type - don't go chasing after the 'ideal' you see on TV or in the magazines. It is a totally false world.
* If you are happy with yourself, you will tend to need to eat less.

Hi! I used(and continue to use swiming) to get back and keep in shape. 5 hours/week and not only I lost a lot of weight but also got some nice muscle too in under a month. The same goes for my girlfriend to. Highly recommend.
