Who is Perry Lawrence

a little about Perry Lawrence: Perry was born to two teachers, one of them a band leader, and as a result he started playing trumpet at age 4. When he attended college his major was music.

A job opportunity as a performer enticed him to drop out of college, and travel with a band. Perry says he "had a blast." Later Perry quit the band to run a recording studio with some friends in New York City (NYC), NY. Perry says he "starved,... but had a blast."

Later he worked at the Metropolitan Museum, did some editing video in NYC, then purchased a camera and started shooting videos.

He was hired by a non-profit to film all over the world. Perry says it was a "nice gig." Then Perry was hired to edit at the amazing Ogilvy & Mather ad agency, which he says was the best gig ever.

He continued to produce documentaries for non-profits and industrial clients and later developed a passion for web development and video for the web. Perry also developed the 'frameless' flash video player and later launched the AskMrVideo.com help site.

As AskMrVideo.com has evolved and technology has found more effective and more powerful outlets for dynamic content, Perry has aspired to the challenge of helping people use what he knows, to help them, in whatever area of business they are in.
