Perry Mason and Della Street

Perry Mason starred Raymond Burr as Lawyer Perry Mason and Barbara Hale as his secretary Della Street. The character of Perry Mason is a defense attorney first characterized in books by Erle Stanley Gardiner.

Della was often called just "beautiful" by Paul Drake. Even though Della was Mason's secretary, she was often more helpful to her boss, doing more than just secretarial duties. Sometimes she would help with cases with her quiet efficiency, always letting Perry think he could do it all.

Hamilton Burger- William Tallman

William Tallman, as Hamilton Burger played Perry Mason's nemesis, the district attorney, who oftentimes was rather smug and very sure that Mason's client would be found guilty. Burger often accused Mason of grandstanding and was continually frustrated by Mason's ability to outshine the district attorney.

Lt. Steve Drumm-Richard Anderson

Lt. Steve Drumm was played by Richard Anderson. Richard Anderson's role came after that of Ray Collins who payed the formitable Lt Tragg. Collins died before the series was over, and Anderson was one of the other actors to take on Perry Mason as a member of the police force. Perry Mason- One of my personal favorites

Perry Mason, the orginal tv series was one of my personal favorites even though I was too young to appreciate the first years of the show. This show was my first glimpse into a mystery series and I really enjoyed it. I was extremely pleased when Perry Mason with Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale was brought back to life in the late 1980's to early 1990's.

Hi Susanna. I'm not sure which actual cases Perry Mason lost either, but I believe he lost 3 out of 300. Darn good winning percentage!

I loved Perry Mason! I still hum the music when I have solved a small problem in my computer or find out where I added up wrongly in my budget. One night I saw an episode when Perry lost! I wish I could remember which one it was.
