Picturesque Market Town

Pershore Town is situated on the River Avon, approximately 10 miles from Worcester and 6 miles from Evesham. Pershore is an unspoiled Market Town, famed for its elegant Georgian architecture and magnificent Abbey. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and picturesque villages such as Cropthorne, Elmley, Wick and Defford and is a haven for cyclists and ramblers.

Pershore has many specialist shops, an undercover market and welcoming pubs and restaurants. It also has its own Number 8 Community Arts Centre with an exciting programme of events such as theatre, cinema and many classes and workshops.

Many of the buildings along Bridge Street and Broad Street are listed. Poets such as John Betjeman have been inspired by Pershore's beauty and its old-world charm is sure to entice you back time and time again.

More about Pershore

Pershore High Street features a large selection of individual retailers which help to keep the charm of a town that has not lost its character over the years. Some shops have been trading for over 100 years and all shops offer a service with a smile.

Right next to the main car park you will find the famous Pershore Market which houses many individual shops with plenty of local produce for sale at great prices. The Market is open every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Customers can be assured of friendly, efficient and personal service in a Market with a real family atmosphere among the stall-holders.

Pershore has its own technology college and training School, more commonly known as 'Pershore High school'. This is a highly rated local school that has been refurbished continually over the years and now features state of the art technology to help students get the best out of their training.
