I needed to read something like this today and you always make so much sense Allan. I once took 19 wickets out of 20 in cricket but it was such a long time ago. Blessed by a sporting Angel.

Reading about the running reminded me off my son..He got a scholarship. It was to a good col ledge here in Florida U.S.F.. And he ran to win and he always did. it was endurance. If he wasn't the fastest.. He would win because he had it in his head not to give up the endurance that is a great thing to have.great lens

Great inspirational Lens, life is about falling down, dusting yourself off, falling down again - until you get tired of falling down. Greatness is achieved when you have failed so many times, and acknowledging your mistakes and faults.

Thanks. Enjoyed your perspective and content. The quote you thought was from Zig was from Henry Ford #1 on the my self help quote lens. As you said "Exceeding your personal best? - Why not?" Love it. All the Best.

    WhitU4ever,

Thanks for pointing out the video as not relevant. I'll select the videos, rather than let them automatically be picked by word association.

There have been many moments in my life that this lens reminds me of. I liked the reading. But the video was disturbing... a girl kissing a girl? I don't see the connection in achieving one's personal best.

One of my personal bests was when I sent a photo-story letter to a couple. It made their day. Only a few hours later he passed away.
My personal best is when I give a smile that comes from the bottom of my heart.
My personal best is growing spiritually while treasuring every present moment.

I constantly strive for my personal best. I think it's unattainable really because you always think you can do better. It's ongoing.

This is an interesting lens. I don't think a lot about personal best, more about how I can further my goals each day. Great job!

My NEW personal best. This is a thought-provoking concept. I opened this lens about an hour ago and have re-read it a few times now. I'm still processing how I can actively apply this. I've always liked the idea that you never stop learning, but I'd never really thought about what my personal best means to me.

Wonderful lens! Great use of inspiring quotes. My personal best (other than the relationships with the people I love) would be my art - to strive to improve and promote it.

Great stuff. I am baking a humble pie right at this moment while writing down my personal best.

Other than my family, my personal best is building our own home single handed. My next goal - do it all over again!

This lens is a great wake-up call to remember my dreams and realize that no one holds me back but me. I don't know that I HAVE a personal best! Now I need to work on one!

Good lens, I enjoyed the quotes - very thought-provoking. For my personal best, I would say graduating as a veterinarian and having the courage to move abroad to be with my husband.

My 2 personal bests have happened in the space of 1 year. Since childhood my dream was to work on a West End show and have my own Art Show...both done recently...So what next? Really interesting lens :)

I have to agree with Linda, being a mother has been my personal best. While not an "over-acheiver" myself, I have always encouraged my children to be the best they can and I am very proud of my childrens accomplishments.

    Great lens. 5*

My personal best would be motherhood, there is a bond between a mother and a child that is so very strong. I'm not a perfect mother by far, but I love who my children are. Very though provoking lens, well done!
