Create a Personalized Bridal Shower Cookbook Full of Homemade Recipes for the Bride to Be

One of my favorite bridal shower traditions is the sharing of the recipes with the bride-to-be. This is a super way to help the (probably) new cook get started with some delicious tried and true recipes.

It's also a nice way for the mother-in-law-to-be to share some of her sons favorite recipes so the new bride can make him feel special whenever she's in the mood. And a great way for Mom and Grandma to share family favorite secret recipes with her.

What bride wouldn't want a neat collection of home cooked meal recipes at her fingertips. The personalized bridal shower recipe binders are the best way I've found to keep all of the varied recipes neatly in one place and to turn all of those loose pages into a one-of-a-kind custom cookbook that the happy couple will treasure always.

Read on for some fun ideas for gathering the recipes for the bridal shower and to see a lovely selection of personalized cookbook binders just perfect for the bride to be!

Bridal Shower Recipe Ideas

Ideas for collecting recipes for a bridal shower.

There are many different ways you can collect recipes for the bride-to-be for her bridal shower.

You can send guests a recipe card with their bridal shower invitation but in my opinion, those tend to be too small for most good recipes. If you go this way, you'll need a nice recipe card box to present to the bride along with all of the handwritten recipes. Hand written recipes are certainly special but keep in mind that not everyone has particularly good handwriting. Make sure you can read all of the recipes before the guests leave so the bride will be able to cook each meal.

To avoid the handwriting problem, you can supply special computer paper to all of the guests so they can use their computer to share their favorite recipes but that can get messy if people start folding their recipes up after printing them. You may also find that some people don't have computers, ink, or working printers.

You can ask guests simply to bring a recipe along with them but then you'll end up with a bunch of different sized cards and pages.

To me, I think the best way is to collect the recipes by email and then print them all out together on the same type of paper to be included in a special bridal shower recipe binder immediately. Yes, this means a bit more work from the maid of honor, bridesmaids, or family member but I think it will be worth the extra effort when you have a gorgeous personalized cookbook full of real people tested recipes to hand to the bride to be at her bridal shower.
