Personalizing a Gift for a "Yellow" Baby Shower

You don't have to know the baby's name or gender to create a thoughtful personalized gift. Here are some personalization tips for those who like the suspense of not knowing until the due date.

Green Is The New Yellow

Gender nuetral colors are easier to come by.

There was a time when colors were few and the only choices for a baby gift were pink for a girl,blue for a boy and yellow if you didn't know. Personally, yellow is not one of my favorite colors. Simply the threat of having yellow colored baby items would encourage me to figure out the sex of the baby-FAST.

Yet, not everyone is like me. There are still mothers who would prefer to wait and that means the gift-giver has to get creative around baby shower time. Consider using green, brown, red, ivory, white or orange instead of yellow.

When choosing a blanket you could make several combinations out of these colors.

Blanket: Ivory
Thread: Toasted Almond

Blanket:Red
Thread:Silver

Blanket: Green
Thread: Yellow (a small bit of yellow won't hurt)

Blanket: Orange
Thread: Chocolate

If you are attending a baby shower, It is likely the baby has not been born yet. Don't stress about having to wait for a birth date or a name.
