Testimonial of the Month

Dear Lisa,
I want to thank you for the tremendous impact you are making in my personal life and in the Ladies Ministry that God has called me into.
I began our coaching sessions because I wanted you to teach me how to successfully grow a ministry, and how to teach others growth with intimacy in Christ. I did not realize the importance of first having a healthy balance in all areas of my life, i.e.: finances, marriage and relationships, before I can be an effective vessel for Christ in His Church Body. God has used you to teach me how to be productive for Christ by changing my negative thought and behavior pattens and how to enable the Holy Spirit to produce lasting fruit in myself and others.
I am excited to see the lasting, duplicating work that God continues to teach me through our Coaching Sessions!
Sincerely,
Christina

What A Coach Can Do For You
Real Success Stories about Real Women

When I first met Stacie (not her real name) she was depressed, cried often, didn't take care of herself, and felt her husband didn't listen to her. She often couldn't maintain eye contact, and her self-worth was extremely low. Stacie's self-worth was rooted in her inability to really grasp her significance in Christ, and until she was able to apply this truth to her life she would always struggle with feeling loved and capable; because of this we addressed this challenge first.
As Stacie began to learn that her value and significance weren't wrapped up in her performance, or her self-imposed standards of perfectionism, she began to slowly break free from her demeaning thought process's which were literally dragging her into a depression. Little by little she became to not only know with her intellect that she was valuable only because God created her, but over time she became free to live it.
Stacie's journey is far from over, but today Stacie even LOOKS like a different person. She had her hair cut and styled (minus the gray), she began to wear make-up and dress like she cared about herself. She often goes out of her way to hug and encourage others, and she has a beautiful, infectious smile! No longer depressed, she was able to move on to learning new and healthy relationship skills which helped her more effectively communicate with her husband and others; developing much healthier and fulfilling relationships.
Stacie's story is far from unique. The lack of understanding of our true value in Christ is a major obstacle for many many Christian women. It was because of this lack of understanding and her unhealthy thought patterns that Stacie was not free to pursue the life God created her for, and why she spent her days feeling inadequate and unloved. After Stacie discovered her self-sabotaging thought patterns, (which by the way, she had no idea she was doing) and learned new, healthy ways to view herself and others, she was free to move on to developing godly relationships and uncovering her own unique talents. Last time I talked to Stacie she told me about a position she took that required her to speak in front of a group of women every week! This was something that Stacie would never have dreamed of doing before due to the broken formula she used to attain her self-worth. As she became free from the constraints of living up to an 'ideal' standard, she also became free to try new things without fear of failure. Stacie began living the life that God designed for her.
This life can be yours as well and He created you to live it. Does this mean that your life will be perfect and without failures, setbacks or pain? Of course not, but it does mean that because you are no longer bound by the insecurities and incorrect thinking of a fallen world, you will be free to pursue your true purpose in Christ, which is based on your true identity. So whether you begin this journey with the support of a Life Coach, or you strive for it through a woman's Bible study, or a ministry within your church, I I highly encourage you to begin this journey. Don't settle for the 'whatever happens life'. There is a plan and a purpose for your life which you were specifically designed and created to fulfill; the question becomes then, what is it and what is stopping you from living it?
God has a dream for your life; wouldn't you like to know what it is?

You have to join the race in order to run it...

Can Scripture Be Used To Abuse?
What every Christian needs to know.
They are lots of different ways that abuse goes on within the home, but the one I'm highlighting today is domestic violence attached to Scriptural abuse.
Never heard of it? Read on. All Christians should be aware that this is a real and current issue in many homes; families around us in the body of Christ. Sometimes when there is domestic violence in the home, religious men will misuse Scripture as another way to maintain power and control over their wives. They claim that the Bible gives them that right. Abuse can include moral degradation, physical abuse, and even sexual abuse. If you're wondering if this could be happening in your home ask yourself these questions: how many times does your husband quote Scripture and use it to condemn you? Does he use Scripture as a way to manipulate you into doing something you don't want to, or stop you from doing something you do want to? Does he tell you that you're a sinner? A moral failure? Does he defend hurtful behavior with Bible verses leaving you feeling like maybe God doesn't love you? Or isn't pleased with you? Is the Bible used as a form of power and control?
If this behavior is part of your relationship and there is not any violence occurring, it is still not okay. God would never condone the use of His Word to humiliate and/or manipulate others. We encourage you to seek out support from your pastor, or other ministries with-in your church community. If you don't feel comfortable, we'd be happy to talk with you here and offer you support, encouragement and options.
If this type of abuse accompanies domestic violence in your home, we urge you to seek out help. Whether that's through your pastor or community is up to you. You do have options. You do have power.
These are a few resources that are available nation wide, but each community usually offers local support as well. We want you to know you're not alone and there are those who are available to help.
