Learn Why Your Persuasion Attempts Fail
Are you curious why your persuasion attempts seem to fail?
If your hopes are to persuade one single person or a stadium full of people, you must make sure the information you are sharing information that is relevant to their needs and desires.
It is insane if not bordering on criminal to think that you can persuade anyone of anything they have no interest in.
A Simple Explanation
Look at it this way, take a quick look at your inbox and look at how many different offers are sent to you. How many times do you hit the delete key. See, each time you delete the email it is not relevant to you. You have not been persuaded and the information does not fit your needs.
The Importance of Relevancy
Have you stopped and thought about how you see someone and know what is relevant to them? You must make adjustments in your persona, in person or through advertising outlets, to appeal specifically to someone.
Have you taken the time to know who you are persuading? Because relevancy also means that you have invested the time to study and understand your audience, either individually or as a target group and must know the right time to offer your idea.
Learn how to almost be able to read someone's mind because you understand them almost as much as they understand themselves.
As individuals everyone has different needs and desires and it is up to you to identify the needs and desires to persuade effectively. Once you have succeeded you become relevant to your audience.
The Most Important Question
If someone doesn't have an interest, there is no advantage for you trying to persuade them. What's the best question to ask yourself for success in your persuasion?
"What makes this person a good match for my message?"
Answering this question will help you improve the likelihood of finding the right person or group to have interest in your message.
More Questions To Ask
- Do these people have a need for my product, service or idea and don't recognize it?
- Are they unaware a problem exists?
- Is my product, service or idea relevant to their desires?
- Is the group or person you are speaking with relevant to your product, service or idea?
- Do they have knowledge, experience or problems specific to your product, service or idea is addressing?
Your persuasion can be successful and you can put your ideas to work for you by remembering that if you do not offer something that is relevant to the needs and desires of your audience, your persuasion efforts will fall on deaf ears.
