Pets!? What are they?! What is good and what is bad for them?!
Pet simulation games can be "simulations of real animals, as in the Petz series" or "fantasy ones like the Tamagotchi".
Unlike biological simulations, the pet does not usually reproduce. They generally do not die.
The pet is capable of learning to do a variety of tasks.
"This quality of rich intelligence distinguishes artificial pets from other kinds of A-life, in which individuals have simple rules but the population as a whole develops emergent properties". For artificial pets, their behaviors are typically "preprogrammed and are not truly emergent".
Pet-raising simulations often lack a victory condition or challenge, and can be classified as software toys. A large majority of pet-raising games are about dogs, cats and horses.

- I don't know if it's funny or embarrassing. Once, my dog, Brufes was left outside and we had our door locked. We searched for her everywhere in the house but couldn't find her, finally when she barked from outside after 15-20 minutes. Normally we never let her go outside alone and she's always seeking chances for it. So, that's may be the reason why my Canidae didn't bark at first. But when I opened the gate after hearing her, I saw that there were many dogs behind her. She might have got afraid and then only she barked. What a funny story, NO?

- My cat sometimes plays hide and seek. She hides somewhere dark and meows quietly. When i react (for example call her name), she becomes silent and waits for me to find her. Mostly it's very easy because her tail is showing. ^^

- As for me, I haven't any cat or puppy. But I'm a proud owner of a golden fish that we call Princess. It is already 5 years old! I like it so much... :)

- My cat loves to sleep in all sorts of boxes.... Once he even squeezed into a glass jug and tried to make himself comfortable.
